Is it possible to record your PC using your smartphone?

If people can use a 2nd PC to record their 1st PC, can this be applied to smartphones too?

I'm well aware that it should be the other way around. But, what if someone's smartphone has better specs than their PC? Do you use HDMI cables, routers or other methods?

You can use the camera app. No, but in all seriousness, I can't say I've ever tried it. You would probably need OBS on your phone, and a bunch of HDMI adapters to make such a setup work. You are much better off just running OBS on the computer that you want to record.

@StarfireDragon What I thought so too.

I have issues with OBS even though I think my specs should be enough to stream gameplay. But my viewers tell me that it's blurry. There's not much lag to an extent however.
Everything is fine on desktop, but not in-game like CS:GO or even games like Touhou 15.5.

Maybe I need to reinstall OBS.

What's the bitrate set too?

@StarfireDragon I tried from 1 600 to 12 000 bitrate for streaming. Still blurry for my viewers.

Maybe it's because of the way my OBS is installed on a secondary disk.
Maybe it's because I used ultra-low latency on YouTube.

I'll go try something.

Nvm, it's still the same.
I guess it's just my internet connection speed.

Ironic how my old laptop had better streaming quality than my current PC.
WiFi USB adapters suck.

so you're wireless trying to stream? what are your speeds after running a speed test?

is there any way possible of plugging an ethernet cable in instead? streaming wireless is definitely nowhere near as consistent as wired in

@Sad My download speed is ~30 Mbps while my upload speed is ~10 Mbps.

I honestly don't know how Ethernet exactly works, but I don't think my router can do that. I remember trying that too by plugging it into my PC, but there was no internet despite being able to connect to my router.
I'll have to ask my ISP.

Google tells me that "PCI-e Wifi cards" are better than WiFi USB Adapters. I wonder how that works too.

if you want to be a streamer then you want to have a wired internet connection and not wireless internet that for sure have higher ping or latency so that will make the live stream low or drop on bitrate at random times

My Samsung couldn't even take a good picture of a chihuahua effortlessly. So stick to a video capture card, FRAPs or do what Youtubers do. Significantly less problems with camera focusing.

Nice quote.

Anyway, I do have the minimum specs to stream gameplay like CS:GO. I think my problem is the WiFi USB Dongle.
My father ordered a 5G one and I'll see if it solves the blurry video quality issue for me while streaming on YouTube.

@hazecloud I don't like how "instant work" sounds here.
I might end up buying a set that I don't understand, and have no control of. Plus, I might end up wasting money too because I may not need some of the stuff for a lower budget.

usually you may have a better information if you try to ask those who stream daily on twitch, find out their equipment. like when i was playing animal crossing on switch, i would go to treasure island broadcasted 24/7 on twitch, there's a link to join their discord. the owner or at least the members were friendly enough to answer any question i had before.

i think it also depends on your country, if you live in west country definitely shouldn't be a problem buying this gadget within a reasonable price, like for me i think this stuff would be fairly new tech and considered as "cutting edge technology" therefore jacked price.

try to ask glock9 the youtuber for 7 days to die video, usually he is friendly enough to answer any question viewer have.
