Its worth it. One of the best anime series in a long time imo.

It’s way better on a binge though. If I were you I’d rewatch Part 2. It goes by super quick on a binge and it has one of the best endings in anime imo

Initially I thought that'd happen with me too but the ending of part 2 was one of the best comebacks,since many ppl were dissatisfied with part 2 even before the hiatus. The LN is also one of the best pieces I've read the hiatus can be excused entirely,a really good series.

Didn’t destroy the hype for me, in fact it made me more excited waiting that long to see it finish, and when it finally did, it was worth the wait. Those last 2 episodes are the best in the season by far

I get that, but tbh, I feel the dialogue kills it a bit more than the delay because of how unnatural and pretentious it is. It has some cool direction and music tho.

Read the LN. The anime ends at Vol 3. Start picking up at Vol 4.

Volume 4 is when Annette and Shin meet face-to-face after many years~

The LN does get better later on.

You can either buy the LN from Official Yen Press or pirate it.

I understand your feelings but still you've got to watch the rest. These last two episodes are the reason 86 cemented it's position as my most favorite anime of all time.

same, the ending felt more rewarding and emotional because of the delays
we had to wait 2 months but it was 100% worth it

At first I was disappointed too. Man that was tough to wait for so long. But the time they took really helped the 2eps and delivered absolute beauty. And I was more hyped for last 2eps.

While the delays were definitely a piss off, the last 3 episodes in Part 2 were so good I found it hard to be mad it took an extra 2 months.

I definitely felt the hiatus killed the hype for me I finished it but it didn’t impact me as much if I had just waited and binged the series.

Was kind of in the same boat (though I've already read the novels so it wasn't like a cliffhanger for me). But I finally got around to watching the last couple episodes.

Honestly, it was worth the wait, because they obviously took the time they needed to do them justice. Fantastic ending to the series; even as a book reader I loved how it was done here.
