Poll: Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e Volume 5 Discussion
| The sports festival begins with each class consisting of two teams, the red team and the white team. The red team contains classes A and D while the white team contains classes B and C. I was surprised when Ayanokouji measured his strength with a power meter there Ayanokouji pretended to hide his strength by weakening his grip but before that Ayanokouji asked Shudou "What is the average strength senior High School student?" Sudou replies "60kg" Ayanokouji believes and grips the device with a power of 60.6 kg but Ayanokouji is careless he thinks that 60kg is the lowest but it turns out it's the highest average for high school kids and Hirata is aware of the ayanokouji's ability (if Ayanokouji is serious then he can get 100kg more in the test this time.) After that Ayanokouji was chosen to be a number of runner members. In the race festival there are several regulations that must be obeyed. a quick example is that when changing players, the person must pay a fine of up to a thousand points per person. I will jump in the last part if you want a spoiler to be able to read the novel itself volume 5 more precisely when the last chapter is the fifth chapter. During the relay race Ayanokouji challenged Manabu (student council president) to a duel because Manabu thought that class D would never win. Ayanokouji, who at that time had not yet received a baton, challenged Manabu and denied his statement that class D would win this time (here Ayanokouji is really serious and shows his strength) get the baton. After getting the Ayanokouji stick running so fast that all people did not believe it but in the end Ayanokouji lost because there was someone in front of him who was blocking the runway of Ayanokouji (if there was no one in front I was sure Ayanokouji would win). I forget one thing here there is one traitor in class D she is Kushida. Why did she commit betrayal because she wanted to get Horikita out of school because she knew Kushida's past. After that Horikita invited Kushida to speak who she really was. Kushida showed his true self (I call it the dark Kushida) he stated that Kushida wanted to get Horikita out of school. However, Kushida is a person who is worried about his past. Kushida committed betrayal in collaboration with class C, namely with Ryuen. After the sports festival was finished Ayanokouji was called by someone to go up to the roof of the school there he met Sakayanagi (she is someone who wears a stick while walking). There Ayanokouji spoke to Sakayanagi he said this "It hasn't been long for Ayanokouji to meet" Ayanokouji thinks who he is even though he doesn't remember who she is. Sakayanagi said "the White House" was shocked by Sakayanagi Ayanokouji's words being shocked and silent. Sakayanagi wants to destroy the fake genius (maybe what he meant was Ayanokouji, he thinks that Ayanokouji is the best masterpiece of his father. It can be concluded Ayanokouji is not a genius from birth but the result of his father's method while Sakayanagi is a genius from birth). hearing that conversation Ayanokouji said "Can you do it" Sakayanagi replied "Of course you can, because I have been waiting for this long". Sayu again I missed one thing here Karuizawa called Ayanokouji with his first name, Kiyotaka. |

| Have read all the way to vol 9 previous week but since someone decided to make the discussion posts so I think it's time to discuss it. Worst vol of the series man I don't even know how I was able to finish this garbage of a vol and that's only because there's so much sudo whom I hate so much from the start and his unnecessary horikita drama and finally horikita finally found someone she can truly call a comrade huh 1 out of 5 for this whole drama and so less ayanokoji. And the highlight of the vol is yes Im talking about Ayanokoji vs Pre Horikita and that was the best moment of the series along with vol 4 where Kiyotaka threatened Kei. Also, Sakayanagi finally made her appearance in the novels huh well that was some nice interaction b/w her and kiyotaka and she knows about his past too... well, if anyone is wondering why she knows so much about Kiyotaka then. |

| This time was such a straightforward exam. All brawls and fouls. Not that I really mind it but Sudou is such a disagreeable person. I honestly wish this is the last time he would be even in the spotlight. Ryuuen is much more a decent character. And finally, Suzune's biggest step forward comes around, although there's no comeback yet, it's something I'm looking forward now. But the most satisfying was Ayanokouji's turn in that last spurt. It was kinda bit more disappointing in 3/4 of the story to which he is not yet doing anything and all that Sudou shit but the last chapters delivered enough to make amendments. |

| Some nice development for Sudou in this volume. Hopefully after these events he become a lot less aggressive to everyone and everything. I never imagined Kushida would go so far because of her hate for Horikita. Ryuen's reaction to Ayakonoji's message had me laughing. Horikita really was lucky that he managed to save her at literally the very last moment. Ayakonoji's athleticism got exposed to an extent in this volume. I didn't expect that he would try to race Horikita's brother. Too bad he didn't win. That ending has me even more curious about Ayakonoji's past and how Sakayanagi knows about him. |

| This is definitely an interesting Volume because of the development of Sudou, the traitor which is Kushida, and lastly the White Room and how Sakayanagi knew about it. Since this focuses on Sports Festival mainly, the betrayal and other things are just small part of the Volume 5 as it was just revealed at the ending part. I was hoping to see more of Ayanokoji actions, it's always interesting how Ayanokoji moves, but seeing how he act throughout the Sports Festival I am not satisfied. |

| Seriously not much to talk about Suduo, but this volume had him in the lead. Not sure if I still like him after all that girlish drama he did, but it did earn him some decent development with Horikita, so a win for him I guess. Though still same for Horikita too, atleast she finally realized her shortcomings. Not much surprised with the sports festival overall outcome, as class D finished last but hey we all know it was due to a certain someone... Kushida, yes. Well the bitch she is, it was more than satisfying seeing her and Ryuuen taken aback by Ayanokoji's bombshell of a message, though we don't how that guy executed that. Speaking of Ayanokoji, he certainly made a compromise to his "no attention attracting" moto, I mean sprinting with Manabu was way too much lol. And yes the highlight, him meeting with Sakanayagi, that silvered hair class A girl in the end. Also it seems like this was the first she was introduced in the LN, as anime did show her few times if I remember. A past acquaintance of him, that was some cliffhanger. But still an overall average volume. |
| Sports festival arc... Sudou wants to participate in everything. Class C is sus. Kushida might be the traitor? Horikita lost in the hurdles because of a plan? Ryuuen wants to make Sudou mad. Kouenji is not participating as always. Horikita is injured, likely because of Ryuuen's scheme. Sudou is a fucking idiot; he should have attacked with Katsarugi. But he didn't and lost. What an idiot. I guess he doesn't love Horikita that much enough to put his pride aside. From page 179 onward, I HATE Ryuuen. He's so cunning; I want Ayanokouji to completely break him. Kushida is revealed to be the traitor, and she became the traitor to gain favors from Ryuuen to try to expel Horikita and Ayanokouji. WOW. I could see that coming. Horikita and Sudou grew, hopefully; Red Team won, but class D ended in last place (-100), and the White Team lost, and Class C wasn't first place, but second place, so also -100 points. It's a draw. Horikita and Sudou both realized their weakness, and how they're similar - they both want to get acknowledged. Sudou wants a large group to acknowledge him, and Horikita wants her brother, Manabu. Ayanokouji and Manabu faced off as the anchor. Horikita realized that she was weak, and needed allies. Sudou was her first TRUE ally. Even though they lost, Class D grew up, and Ayanokouji said that they will be stronger in the future. Believe it!. Ayanokouji was in a cold, sterile room. Probably human experimentation. "WHITE ROOM." Those words made Ayanakouji stop in his tracks. Sakayanagi knows Ayanokouji, but Ayanokouji doesn't know her. Apparently, Ayanokouji wants to die and be destroyed. Sakayanagi knows about Ayanokouji's past and how he's a creation of his father. Nice volume. |

Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load. |
