| I want to know as well. Kingdom is in my plan to watch list for years. I'm really concerned about CGI cus I strongly dislike CGI in animes. I think Kengan Ashura was the only one that I slighly liked in that regard. |
| As someone who watched Kingdom 2ish weeks ago for the first time, I can 100% say read the manga. Believe it or not it's not becasue of the CGI. It was jarring at first, but I got used to it. Plus they tended to do mix in traditional 2D drawn into the episodes to make it easier on the eyes What made me drop the anime was the horrible censorship. It's not super noticeable until you get to the first war/battle arc. What sealed the deal was when someone got slashed, I kid you not, a gush of white blood came out of the body, it looked like semen lol I did a comparison of the violence by watching a few more episodes and reading manga chapters along with it, and it was set in stone They treated Kingdom like it was a Saturday morning cartoon that 8 years are able to watch. I understand they can't show everything, because trust me the manga can be pretty damn narly. But they almost never animate red blood, and when somebody gets slashed/impaled/crushed, they have no visible injuries on their body at all. Off topic, but I watched Magi after Dropping Kingdom, and that show had some pretty serious showcases of violence and gore, and magi is a SHOUNEN anime. Targeted towards teens mostly, and Kingdom is a SEINEN story. TLDR: No, the CGI is not that bad, but the censorship of violence is an insult to any viewer that is above the age of 12 |
