 Netflix Japan announced on Thursday that a second season for Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre (Baki Hanma) is in production. The new season will stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix. TMS Entertainment adapted Baki: New Grappler Baki into a 26-episode anime series that streamed on Netflix from June to December in 2018. The Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen (Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament) sequel debuted on the same platform in June 2020. Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre, the latest installment, streamed on Netflix in 12 episodes last September. It adapts the 1st manga series. Netflix skipped 1st manga series since that adaptation is still fairy faithful, and continued with 2nd manga series. About the news, glad to see it continue. No, except for the bad animation from time to time, since its Netflix and all, and they use CGI. In the end I'd recommend you to read the manga, starting from 1st series all the way to 5th. However if you have the time and want to put in into the anime, then yeah go ahead and watch all the way from first old 2000 adaptation. |

Baki has been a huge influence on a number of my favorite series, plus I've heard that it's one of the most iconic action shonen manga so I'd like to get a full look at it. Do you speak CGI? Did they make it completely 3D? |

If you want the full experience, the manga is the way to go as always. The original source. Well actually the full CGI solution was the reason I still haven't watched Kengan even though I deeply love and respect the author. The manga is still too old for me, although I read a lot of not so modern authors who were inspired by it. |
