Is there a sign up form for all of the 127 challenges for this challenge? I was planning on trying to go for all of them just like in the anime one, but I wasn't sure if I had to just fill those in myself, which wouldn't be the end of the world. Thanks. |

Can someone answer my question? This is the first time I'm doing this challenge. Is there a limit to number of volumes of a manga which I can use for this challenge? Like for example, can I read a manga which has only 4 volumes (or less)? (Sorry if my question doesn't make sense to you :p) |

In case you are using a manga you've started before 2022, you must read at least the last 5 volumes. I hope I was clear enough, and welcome to the challenge! |

Reef7 said: Can someone reccomend me manga for #4 "Read a web/4-koma manga" is web manga that isn't 4-koma will be concidered? If you're looking for 4-koma recommendations, I strongly recommend Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. This link will take you to Baka Updates' list of every series categorized as a 4-koma, sorted by how highly they've been rated. As for webmanga, I'm much less well-versed. I have a question of my own, though. For one of my challenges, I'm reading Unmagical Girl, which technically has 3 volumes of which only 2 have been officially released in a physical edition in English (with no more releases planned by Seven Seas, according to their website). I want to avoid any issues, so I wanted to verify: Is it okay for me to just read the two physical copies that are available in English, since I started reading it in the physical English editions? Or should I go ahead and read the third volume on a scanlation website just to be safe? |

Hi! I just wanna clarify if the tags in manga-updates are the sole basis for the validity of the items read for some specific niches in the challenge. To elaborate, I was planning to use Geinoujin no Yatsura for challenge 64 seeing as how it has the magical boy tag in manga-updates. Upon reading it however the story ain't as "magical boy" as it seems save for some magical aspects that were otherwise incorporated poorly. Seeing as how manga-updates is used as a basis for most of these genre-and-tag-specific challenges, that got me thinking if the actual content of the stories in our lists will be verified by the staff upon submission and not just base it on what manga-updates says. so yea tldr: am i allowed to use geinoujin no yatsura for challenge 64? also I'm aware that I can always just read another magical girl/boy manga for this challenge like say madoka if i ain't satisfied with the one i just read, but I'm kinda doing another challenge alongside MRC 2022 wherein i only use bl or titles that lean towards bl for this challenge, and finding a bl that's also a magical boy manga was already quite hard lol. |

Hey there. :) Yes, the tags in mangaupdates work as validation for the items. We can't really read every manga the participants submit, so that's how it has to work. If you asked us beforehand, we could tell you that it's not about what it says it is, but it would be up to you whether you decide to read it or not. Since you already read it, don't worry about it. On the other hand, if you read something that doesn't have the tag, but you say is valid, we can also count it, after we check. |

The one-shot is: Claymore Bangai-hen Senshi Reimei-hen. Thanks. Hello. It seems to be an extra published after chapter 125 of the original series. It also doesn't seem to be based on this, as this is just something that happened chronologically before the original series. A one-shot a series is based on usually shows up as Alternative Version in the Related Manga section, and is published beforehand. Here are some examples: https://myanimelist.net/manga/48621/Koe_no_Katachi https://myanimelist.net/manga/80909/Tokyo_Ghoul https://myanimelist.net/manga/3645/-/moreinfo https://myanimelist.net/manga/15143/Medaka_Box So no, it wouldn't count. :) |

Hello!! I'm looking for a MRC staff recommendation (#95)! My List Likes: Josei, Shojo with a more mature protagonist, Wholesome Content, Romance, Slice of Life, Older Isekai (my sweet spot seems to be ~1990s/2000s Isekai. Not interested in "In my Next Life, I swore there were slimes, now they turned into witches and are my best friends forever!"), Tradegy, Drama, Supernatural, Psychological, Dire Survival 'Games' (ex. Alice in Borderlands, Battle Royale). I'm okay with any kind of more adult content (gore, nudity, ecchi, etc). Dislikes: Yaoi, Yuri, Harem/Reverse Harem, Sports, Mecha, Shounen/Shojo geared towards very young audiences. Preferred Completed Series with less than 10 vols. Can be found in English. Thank you <3 |
