Hello everyone, as the title says, why don't they adapt the entire manga in one shot? I read the manga ended 2 years ago, so they have enough material to adapt... Also, the anime sells well, so why are they adapting an arc for year? :( Sorry for my english ahah

EDIT: Thanks for the replies, I know it was a "dumb" question, and I understand it is better to wait for good quality. It was a really good season and I'm sad it ended.

Because a one shot is just plain stupid. It’ll be rushed as hell, not to mention that there’s a lot of chapters left. Your ideas isn’t good; just because the manga ended two years ago doesn’t necessarily mean the anime needs to be rushed. Helck is literally getting an anime adaption and it ended in 2017… Demon Slayer has a few seasons left

Because the animation they want for this can't be done in a weekly show.

That plus Ufotable has never done an anime for more the 25 episode and given the amount of projects they have under their banner, they don't have the time to just do one series.

If they do a one shot, animation quality would decrease , so basically what makes the series good would be going down, so don’t think is a good idea

Ufotable is focusing in quality instead of quantity.

If they adapt everything every week then we wouldn't have the amazing animation, fight choreography, sakuga, etc... that we've been enjoying so far, we would instead have crappy animation for 90% of the episodes like the rest of the other shounens out there.

In other words, instead of Demon Slayer we would have Naruto/Bleach/One Piece v2. I rather have quality instead of quantity like those other shounen animes I mentioned.

You won't be getting high quality then.
Ufotable takes their sweet time to adapt any anime.

I don't wanna sound insulting but how can a person who has watched 750+ animes ask something so dumb as this???

Because that kind of adaptation sacrifices quality to deliver quantity. If you take the amazing animation out of this series what would be left?

Because animation and production takes time, especially an adaptation of this quality. I feel like this should be common sense lmfao

That policy won't work in today's meta as people want stuff shot and concise, reason being most anime are divided in seasons and further in cour so that the production team have the time to polish up and see the episode reception with the audience. You can see this netflix and prime or any streaming services as most show episodes are 8-13, gone were the days when 22-26 episodes were the norm. Like i remember watching shows with 22-26 episodes and i am talking western shows and now i can't sit so yeah a long adaption won't work and you can except one piece no anime is following that trend, maybe few which i don't recall but now the norms are changed.
2025 might be the year where I will be happy. This year is not happy year.

You either want shit quality (which will drive any DS fan away), or 1 minute per week (which will too drive fans away)

cause then the whole anime would be a flop cause its carried by animation

1. Seasonal releases create more hype around a series and generally you can make more profit that way.
2. Animators and staff need time to produce episodes, a single Ufotable episode takes 1-2 months work to be finished. So for them to adapt the entire manga, they'd have to drop the quality of the anime, and then it'd probably look like Black Clover💀

2 simple reasons

1. With seasonal they get to keep the hype for a longer period

2.Ufotable doesn't do long running so it would have to be some other studio which wouldn't deliver as much as them

They can, but the quality will be significantly lower, and ppl will shit on it, because ofc they won't stand it.

i assume that its extremely hard to continue this high quality adaptation like this, and ufotable have different animes comming too so they dont want demon slayer to be a burden to them i think.
i can definitely see the production commitee making them adapt this as fast as possible though

Because one episode of Demon Slayer costs 80.000$, thats because demon slayer is not like other animes and it has custom style, visual effects, etc... So as you can probably guess, making one episode of Demon Slayer anime is hard, and it is so expensive, that is one of the reasons. Even if they upload the whole manga in one shot, it would take a lot of time because they need to make money first and then start animating.
