Who cares about mastermind. This series is trash. Demon Slayer better than this. This series is same as seven deadly sin. First 3 season is epic. But in final season it break my expectation.

That's what I wanna know too. I thought Eren was at one point the mastermind, but that exact scene threw it all out of the fucking window.

Another thing, trying to make sense out of episode 1 and episode 80 titles makes it even more intriguing.
"To You, 2000 years in the future" : seems like a message from Eren to Ymir.
"From You, 2000 years ago" : seems like a message from Ymir to Eren. (I might have the order flipped here LOL)

This connection in the titles definitely makes it seem that Ymir might have influenced Eren. (I just confused myself even more because of the titles because if you flip the order it stands correct?)
I sometimes forget to finish my sentences.

For sure not Eren, seeing the future doesn't mean being mastermind,if Isayama would want to make Eren a mastermind he would do this. Isayama not without the reason make inteligence level of HIS characters.Check it but it may dissapoint you if you truly think that he is mastermind.

I don't think that Ymir influenced Eren. But owing to the fact that she was the founding Titan. She saw that someone would come for her in the future.
So she waited for Eren to come free her for 2000 years. As Eren says.

it is your opinion my dude but i just can't bring myself to believe that you think demon slayer, the tropy, unfunny, average as fuck, run of the mill, mid ass shounen, carried by animation anime is better than what we are seeing in aot right now

HxH came out in the 90s and shounens today (25 years later) like the aforementioned Demon Slayer still couldn't even dream of reaching the hights that HxH achieved, let almone attack on metherfucking titan

But i guess its just your opinion so whatever...

Hmm, I guess that makes sense too, but the fact that he said "Were you the one that led me here?" implies that she might have actually led him to the coordinate to free her, not just waited for her. So many things are open to interpretation after this episode, it's insane.

The more I think about the two titles,The more its starting to make me think that Ymir did actually want Eren to free her but she was unsure if it was even possible. She saw the future for sure and probably did see that He would be the final inheiretor of the attack titan so thats probably why the titles are named that way.To you is a message from Ymir to Eren, considering the fact that Eren had flashes of the future in the VERY start of episode 1 makes me believe so(even though he was unsure what it meant at the time UNTILL he made contact withh Historia and gained access to memories locked away.)and from you,2000 years ago makes me think This is Eren's message to Ymir, that you dont have to keep doing this anymore and to encourage her to have a free will of her own. This frees Ymir from her 2000 year old brainwashing of the King's ideologies/affection and finally letting Eren do the RUMBLING,RUMBLING,ITS COMI- *ahem*.So yeah,Ymir sends a message to Eren,Eren doesnt know what the message is u till he kissed Historia's hand unlocking the memories,Eren follows the timeline as the future entailed untill he reached the Paths.
Interesting thing to note is that Zeke said you can't see ALL of the future now can you?
It was at the very start of the episode meaning this was as far as the future of thr Attack Titan took him and now Ymir's founding titan is the final key to the Rumbling puzzle.....I think...

So let’s see...

Eren definitely isn’t the mastermind because (The spoiler free version) the future is already set in stone.

You may not call Ymir the mastermind behind all of the events that’s happened 2000 years ago till now which started because of her.

The biggest mastermind though, that creature.

What i think is due to the nature of the Paths. The events linked to them are paradoxical.
Things that happen, happen because they were meant to happen. And the knowledge of their inevitability is what forces people to do them.

The way I see it. Ymir saw that someone would come to her to free her. And so Ymir infuenced the path to make sure it happens.

she actually did if you think about it. She started everything. She set everything up for her to obtain something she wants so much. All she needed to do now was wait for that person whom she’d use to obtain what she wanted. It doesn’t have to be Eren, it could’ve been anyone and to make it even more interesting, it’s said that the 9 titans are personifications of Ymir herself, and what is the purpose of The attack Titan? Freedom. As Grisha said in the previous episode, all the past attack titan users have been moving forward ti something. That something is Ymir.

I don't think you can say that she used Eren. At no point in the story in the Manga did it seem like she was using Eren.

The way I saw it. Ymirs slave mentality entrapped or better yet enslaved her in the paths. She did not have the will to free herself.
She needed someone to do it for her. And she found that will in Eren. Someone who had always wanted to be free.
She simply let Eren come to her. To do what she couldn't.
