Actually the Anime Theme is light Hearted and melancholy. I Can understand what you want but, we Can't Do Anything.
But it Doesn't mean that there is no interest in story. Black Clover have it's own Way To Make things interesting.

that's kinda the gaping issue with BC ngl. Makes it a lot more basic bitch shounen

List of romance anime with actual romance in them --------------------------------------------------------------------------- List of romance Manga with actual romance in them

'On-Hold' is another way for a completionist to say 'Dropped'

Black clover follows the example of old gen shonen, nowadays the shonen term has become very loose.

Most long running shonen of this type don’t make main characters die. One piece has almost 1000 episodes and only one major character close to the main cast has died

I am personally fine the way that BC is, especially with manga at the moment seems like it’s building up for a lot characters to just be killed off. Not to mention Tabata is most likely being cautious that he doesn’t just mass kill characters and make fans upset with it. But in the manga it seems like it’s setup to just start killing characters, in a few chapters we probably will start seeing people die.

I don't see thar as a problem, life and death of a character is not needed to a make scene intense like sports anime they are way more intense than battle shonen yet no character dies and you can most of the time predict the outcome of a match even so they very intense like that black clover does not need to kill off characters to make it intense just need to create atmosphere

i dont really like sport animes tbh you aint wrong but for me it doesnt feel the same without the danger of death

You gave a worst example of genre that characters don't die tbh.
There is no life and death situation in Sports Anime while in battle shounen, there is life and death situation all the time. Particularly when they're fighting against an op villain. So our favorite Characters not dying makes it boring. But the show got carried by the plot tho so it didn't bother me.

Thats exactly the reason I dropped this after 71 episodes, it’s so stupid and childish, I read online that the author doesn’t want anyone to die ever, it makes every battle so pointless and boring.

the manga is actually Better in my opinion cause unlike the anime it doesn’t have inconsistent quality and the arc in the manga right now is very good 👌👌

Whilst I’d love for characters to die and the show to have more stakes it doesn’t bother me too much, however, when

I was hella mad because brining back fan favourite characters back from death when they serve no purpose to the story really just pisses me off tbh

Yes, but the majority of Shounen is supposed to be a friendly show because it's an anime targeted at teens under 18, and characters rarely die in Shounen (unless AOT tho)

Yeh, That's one of the downside of bc actually. Anyway, there's no significant change in the manga, they still keep some side character alive with unnecessary plot armor, and it's annoying af
