| i feel my self wanting to watch some giant robot fights. when i think giant robots i think Gundam. But there are so many different series i don't know which one is the best. i have seen the first series and bits and peices of some other ones. |

| My favourites are War in the Pocket and Zeta. The first being a masteripiece, the second being simply the best of the first saga. I also like ZZ a lot, I found it truly entertaining. |

| Most people probablty started with Gundam Wing, (I havn't seen yet) since that was a pretty popular anime and it has a broader universe than most Gundam series. Apart from that you could start with the obvious... the UC universe, overall considered the best one with the best story and characters but with old animation as it is to be expected. Not to mention it is the biggest universe and story in the Franchise. If you wanna see some good stuff start with UC unvierse, Mobilie Suit Gundam (or the movie trilogy) and advance to Zeta afterwards. This universe also has one pretty good side story which is the 08th MS Team. If you want something more recent and still good, start with Gundam Wing |

| If you are considering animation quality in watching anime. I recomend watching gundam seed. It has a good plot and the animation is not bad. If you are not considering animation qualtity in watching anime. I recomend watching after war gundam x. Its stories is good and the plot isn't too long. It's perfect for start. Or if you are not sure because there will be too many recomendation just look the average score of each series and just pick the best one (sometimes the score is accurate enough and suit your taste). |

I agree with everything but 08th MS team and F91; there is no way 08th MS team's campy love BS, and F91's awful pacing are worth watching over X or Wing. Then again, Zeta suffers from many of the same problems... |
| Anything from Universal Century gundam timeline, especially the first gundam and zeta gundam. UC timeline has got amazing OVAs too, especially war in the pocket and MS igloo OVAs. If you really want to get into gundam, I suggest you start with the first gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam(0079). Just bear with the old graphics. Plotwise, other gundam series such as seed and 00 are nowhere as good as UC seires, IMO. You said you have seen the first series. Is it MS gundam 0079? If so, just watch according to chronological order, which is mentioned in the thread pointed out by ladyxzeus. |

| The original '78 Gundam gives you a background and idea about what Gundam is all about but it's not very entertaining and difficult to enjoy. There are better Gundam series out there. Try Seed, Zeta, ZZ, G Gundam, After War Gundam X, and 00 respectively. |
