When Chinu was seen in the trailers, I thought that she will be playing an important role in the story and in Minato's development. Someone who knew him from before his memory loss and maybe help guide him along the way. Maybe even rekindle his love for water polo.

But after 9 episodes I have no idea why she's here, let alone what type of role she played. It honestly feels like her character was just there for the sake of drama between her and Minato. But no, she showed up in the first episode, said some stuff, and as of episode 9, whatever her relationship with Minato is now gone and that's it. And it didn't help in ep 8 where she did a complete 180 with Minato. I get the main cast are the boys and she's a side character but even for a side character, she didn't do much of anything. She's just there.

Chinu just doesn't feel like a character we really got to know. That isn't to say she's redundant as she did "help" Minato get back into water polo. But if she wasn't in the show, it wouldn't change anything. I just wish she was written to be better than just a bland female side character.

To me it all makes perfect sense after the 9th episode. The old Minato is really arrogant and annoying so of course she wouldn't fall for an asshole like that which is also why she originally rejected him. However she started to actually like him when he changed after waking up from the first accident which has now been nullified by him reverting to his old self! In other words she is just the main characters love interest and she is there to help him find out what kind of person he wants to be!

Love interest? She's far from it. As toxic as Minato is, she's not that far off. I mean, dude literally lost his memory and she toys with his feelings only to turn around once he's got them back and lash out at him. Might as well never have interacted with him again in the first place if she hated the guy.

I kind of agree with the fact that she’s been useless so far.

I agree she could’ve just let poor minato be and not reminded him of all that it would’ve eventually happened I think but even after all that she still comes to him and talks??!! Won’t be surprised if she starts blushing later on in the show cuz she “changed her opinion of him” imo her opinion matters the least

As I said, she has taken a liking to the changed and kind version of him. She hates the old him that he has now reverted back to. That's not so hard to understand is it?

She's just a drama device.

Ep. 8 already stated it.
She always hated Minato and the reason as for why she was "supporting" his new happy-go-lucky self to return to waterpolo was just because she couldn't get over the fact that one senpai she admired/liked/had the hots for quit the sport because of MC.
Based on Chinu's logic: As long as Minato keep playing waterpolo, her senpai quitting the sport won't be in vain. That's also why she lied about MC owning her money. Just another "incentive" for him to join the waterpolo club.

You are absolutely right. It's a shame she's only there for the sake of stirring drama. She and Eitarou are my least favorite characters.

Shes just here to piss off everyone with her dumb assery!

Here's a bitch that lied to the nice ego to keep him playing a game he doesn't remember after barley finishing fucking rehab and figuring shit out after MEMORY LOSS. All so she can get some two-bit revenge for a guy that doesn't even give a shit about water polo since he plays ping-pong now and the good ego doesn't even remember being a dick. Then when good ego needs help figuring stuff out during an emotional crisis she finger blast the dude so hard in the heart that he goes full fucking emo and pulls a stupid double amnesia to bring back his old asshole ego.
After that she then goes out of her way to tell asshole ego that now that he's back she is done with him all while never fucking shutting up about him. Only to then have her go back to discovering.... hey maybe people can change, you know if your not a raging cunt to them 24/7.

God I think the person who made this show has to visit some downtown in the brown bathhouses on the regular or was so hurt by a chick he turned mega flamming gay and wondered how to convert more bros and got the idea for a show about a bunch of dudes almost nude roughing each other up in water and a Barbra Streisand sized bitch that can't not be a whore for more than one scene a day.

Fuck chinu the dumb slizz and I hope some people make some nhentai style dojin about her with all your favorite tags..... Ugly bastard, mine break, rape, ntr, group, anal, dilf, incest, prostitution, drugs, bondage, funtari....... basically anything that can make her life a living hell and mine a little bit better after seeing her get the midnight marriage press but never get married...just used and thrown to the streets.

Incels are still present on this site.

"Why isn't Chinu just another cute manager I can fantasize about? Why isn't she the tsundere waifu/love interest of the main character? She's only there to hate the guy bouuuuh" T__T
