| Chapter 7: First meeting, first squabble. Results in exchanging LINEs. They find they're both overly protective of their friends but when Nakamura apologizes first and Kurata apologizes back, they both notice how considerate the other actually is. They may have started on the wrong foot but this looks like the start of a beautiful friendship. Chapter 8: Connecting over horror games. Results in an invitation to watch a horror movie together. Chapter 13: Horror movie date(?) then dinner. Nakamura is worried he appears boring as he's not the most expressive person but Kurata finds him super interesting. Chapter 14: Double date with Kanata and Yuumi. Nakamura and Kurata regale Yuumi with stories of Kanata's dark history. Chapter 16: Regular Liaison Meetings. Kurata observes him more, sees more of his thoughtful side. Nakamura tries to convey his feelings through words as he's lacking in expression. But words alone only cause Kurata to overthink things. Still this may be a good thing for both of them as this doesn't discourage Nakamura. He only wants to try harder. Chapter 21 (volume cover) Chapter 22: Nakamura, tired of Kurata trying to observe him, leans in and discovers her blushing threshold. He realizes it's fun to tease her. This confuses her. Back in chapter 16, he only called her cute because he was just teasing her, right...? Still, for some reason it's fun being with him. Chapter 23: Hanging out at Kanata's house. Yuumi goes to check on her boyfriend leaving the two of them alone, playing horror games in the living room. Nakamura sets his glasses down on the couch. Kurata tries them on but he snatches them back. He thinks it's all fun and games teasing him and she'll probably break his glasses in the process, but she retorts she'd never do something mean like that. He apologizes and pats her head, confusing her further. Chapter 25: Another Liaison Meeting. Kurata realizes Nakamura only smiles when he's with the people he likes...like when he's with her. Wait...it couldn't be... She talks to Yuumi about it and Yuumi cheers her on. Chapter 26: Nakamura talks to Kanata about Kurata. Kanata helps him realize she's the one worth putting himself out there again. If anyone will understand and accept his feelings it's got to be her! Chapter 27: The last Liaison Meeting. Kurata nearly misunderstands until Nakamura explains all future correspondence will be a date. Turns out their feelings are mutual! Yay! Chapter 28: First date, same topics. That is, about Kanata and Yuumi. Until Nakamura boldly makes the first move and takes her hand. It looks pretty cold outside. Holding hands was just the thing to do! Chapter 30: Double date at the aquarium. They chaperone the lovebirds and Nakamura keeps an eye on her. Chapter 31: Both Kanata and Yuumi tell Nakamura they're happy for him. "Perfectly suited for each other." - there's probably no higher compliment that's music to his ears. Chapter 34: Kurata starts running to manage her weight. She notices Nakamura's smartwatch. He catches her staring at it and gifts her one on their next date. It might have cost a pretty penny but Kurata's joyful smile is worth it. Also, now they match! Chapter 36: Christmas! Kurata proposes eating two Christmas cakes. Nakamura once at a 24 piece KFC bucket with Kanata. Who's the fatty? Nakamura has to work overtime so Kurata whittles time away by trying the fried chicken bucket challenge. He thinks she's fine having fun on her own but how can she when she can't be with the man she loves? He apologizes in his own way and at the end suggests eating two cakes. This cracks her up. They make up and Kurata gives him his first Christmas present - smartwatch bands. Chapter 38: After finishing the chicken bucket challenge they talk then visit Kanata and Yuumi and celebrate Kanata's birthday. Chapter 43: Kurata's having a bad day at work. Yuumi asks Nakamura to try to cheer her up. Kurata doesn't want to bog him down with her negativity but Nakamura shows they're not together just to have fun. He's there for her through the good and bad times. Chapter 44: Other people flirting with Nakamura or Kurata reveals their jealous side. Chapter 45: Kurata asks if Nakamura wants to hang out but after a moment's hesitation, he explains he planned to make time for himself. Kurata perfectly understands his feelings unlike most "typical girlfriends". To her surprise, this gives him the idea to invite her over to his house. Nakamura plays games but is worried she's bored. Of course not! Kurata loves, loves, loves observing him. She's having the time of her life and she'll probably never be bored of him. Kurata is so relaxed, she falls asleep leaning on him. To quote Nakamura, this is "the best day off ever". After this, they're on first name basis. Chapter 47.5: Nakamura's advice to Kanata about kissing is too embarrassing/hilarious to talk about. Chapter 50: Kurata wants to hear Nakamura say he loves her out loud. After teasing him, he gives in and goes above and beyond what she asked for. For Kurata's ears only though. ;) Chapter 50.5: Crane game date. "One without greed is more likely to win everything" - true, true. Chapter 52.5: Sneak preview for vol. 6 Chapter 56: Aki isn't ready to get married. Koushi wants to but pretends he's not interested for her sake. She calls him out on accommodating himself to her views. He reveals his insecurities, afraid she'll hate him, but Aki assures him she loves him for who he is. After talking it out, marriage doesn't sound so bad. They really do get along. Chapter 58.5: Omake. More horror shenanigans and drunk Koushi. I can imagine some time in the near future, Aki will realize she's never considered marriage seriously until she met Koushi. He's the only one who will ever make her feel that way. After all, who else can she feel at ease with, tease endlessly, and can hold her interest forever?
