Death & Rebirth=recap of the series if I recall correctly
End of Evangelion=after the original series, generally treated as a different way the series could end
Rebuild movies=a reboot, or sequel if you believe the rather plausible fan theory

This is a recommend order
1-Neon Genesis evangelion (1995)-26 episode
2-Neon Genesis evangelion death and rebirth movie
3-Neon Genesis evangelion the end of evangelion - movie
4-evangelion 1.0 you are (not) alone-movie
5-evangelion 2.0 you can (not) advance-movie
6-evangelion 3.0 you can (not) redo
7-evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 thrice upon a time- movie

Note:
The manga is different from anime but it's still Canon

After nge its End of Evangelion. Then come the rebuild films: 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 3.0+1.0 when it comes out.

Death & Rebirth are optional, if you want to watch it watch before End of Evangelion.

Death & Rebirth is just a bunch of clips from the show, in order of when it happened. Essentially just a slide show. If you've just watched the show recently, just skip it.

The "rebuild" movies are the new ones. 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 3.0 + 1.0 (that's the fourth movie, the newest and last one). They're basically a retelling of the original show, but a lot is different (from what I know, because I can't find the movies).

It’s really simple.

You watch the original 90s version, then The End of Evangelion, after that you can watch the Evangelion 2.0 movies, but I’m assuming those are optional, so the entire series itself doesn’t really have a watch order :)

Dont worry about the rebuild...
Just watched original series...
Then Watch End of Evangelion
Then watch a youtube video explaining the evangelion lore...
Read the manga if u want to. And that's it.
The rebuild movies are overly complicated for no reason as if the makers are mocking us with pointless gibberish scientific terms.

PS:- there is no hindi dub for the original series...
And the hindi dub of the rebuild is lazy af...from the little bit of what I heard in the dub it seemed like they only have 2 VA, one for all the male characters and one for all the female.

Watch order is the release order, except for Death and Rebirth which you can either skip or watch after End of Evangelion (it's a recap).

It's not really that complicated - you have the tv series and End of Evangelion movie which is a sequel to the series, and the new movies (Rebuilds) which is another continuity (but you should watch the series and EoE first).
You all need to watch Nami.

And yes, it does at some pints mock the technobabble, and that's intentional.

Lol. No they're not. It's dumbed down for normies, has terrible exposition and characters. The story is a mess and filled with retcons and plot holes.

1) It's not a retcon if it's literally a separate continuity. It does not undo the original version.

2) What plotholes?

1) no dumbass. Kaoru causing Near Third Impact is a Retcon. They retconned it from Shinji to Kaoru which made earlier dramatic scenes meaningless. It's so bad.

2) idk... Maybe Ritsuko pulling out a Spear in Minutes time due to plot convenience without any explanation. Shinji literally making a New Universe from scratch through his fuckin Deus ex machina powers.

Neon Genesis Evangelion -> Death and Rebirth AKA Death² (optional and not really recommended) -> End of Evangelion

You could really stop there if you wanted, but I did like the Rebuilds quite a bit so I'd recommend checking them out too.

1.0 -> 2.0 -> 3.0 -> 3.0+1.0
Take care of yourself

Original series -> End of Evangelion -> Rebuild Movies.

Ignore anyone telling you not to watch the Rebuilds, because they're missing their point and Hideaki's very intent behind making them.

Oh! So 3.0 and one half of 4.0 are a different continuity?

Are you retarded or gaslighting on purpose? Why is there a scene of Toji's sister trying to shoot Shinji for causing N3I? You clearly didn't watch the movie and are bullshitting. The plot is an obvious mess.

You're seriously fucking retarded.

On the ship. Toji's sister tries to shoot Shinji. They make a big deal about this. And then it's retconned. Clearly you didn't watch it. It's the scene that comes right after Misato confronts Gendo in the same place. Now if you watched the movie and were actually paying attention to anything happening you wouldn't have missed something like this. Clearly, from what you mentioned earlier you were probably too stoned to remember or notice the glaring inconsistencies in the movie.

Id personally say watched the series up till episode 25 then watch the “end of evangelion movie” or whatever it’s called I’ve forgotten then watch the 26 episode of the series and after that watch the movies 1.0,2.0,3.0 and finally 3.0+1.0

very simple
1995 Evangelion series > End of Evangelion 1997 > Evangelion 1.0 > Evangelion 2.0 > Evangelion 3.0 > Evangelion 1.0 + 3.0
there is also death and rebirth but thats just a recap so can be ignored, and thats all you need.
(also it may be 1.11, 2.22, 3.33 etc. for the rebuilds but its the same, just slightly different title for whatever reason, depending on what you use to watch it)

they’re called that because they’ve been touched up a bit visually for home releases. For example 1.0 for theatrical 1.01 for the first home video release (I think), and then 1.11 for the Blu-ray.

I'd recommend watching the original tv show and movie since it was the ones made By Hideaki Anno in the director's chair whereas in the new rebuild movies its more like Tsurumaki Kazuyai's reign on these movies with Anno assisting in the background of things

Neon Genesis Evangelion Tv Show (26 episodes) 1995

End of Evangelion (Movie) 1997

from here you can watch the rebuild series if you want although keep in mind that this series of movies is an alternate version of the original evangelion story which was the tv show and the end of eva movie

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

NOTE: this movie is basically the first 6 episodes of the tv show condensed into one movie after this the movies take a different storyline than the original series

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time

1. Neon genesis evangelion 1995
- original series
2. Evangelion Death & Rebirth 1997
- recaps everything till ep 23, then retcons episode 24-26
3. End of Evangelion 1997
- sequel to death & Rebirth
4. Rebuild of evangelion(1.0 - 3.1+1.0)
- movie 1 is like a recap but changes some things here and there, by movie 2 it would have completely diverge and movie 3 and 4 are 100% original material.

Hope this helps
