Hey guys I watched this up to episode 9 a few months ago and found myself kind of bored just because I think it was setting the scene. I pretty much remember what’s happened up to this point so would u guys say I should finish it? Does it get better?

I personally never got stuck with this show. Easily binged it. It’s a lot of pain and suffering and backstory and more fucked up things happening but up to you if you’d like to give it another chance.

i think you should pick it back up but ONLY when you genuinely feel like picking it up. after episode 9 there’s a lot of action, good relationships and funny moments. when you’re ready to see them again, come back and keep watching. don’t force yourself to watch it. take your time.

You definitely should finish it. I had a thought that it was getting kinda boring but was glad I stayed. But now I wish I hadn’t finished it because it made me sad for a week.

I loved it! I totally think that you should finish it. The story gets heavier, but the characters are great. It was so worth the watch in my opinion.

Hii :) I get your point, Banana Fish is not an anime for everyone, it might be a bit boring to watch at the beginning cause there are a lot of things that aren't explained yet in the first half of this show. BUT it defenately gets better, since you've watched ep 9 BELIEVE ME that the best part is literally yet to come. And also it will get very interesting cause during the second half everything will be figured out collecting and connecting all the pieces and the end of this anime will be something that you'll keep in your heart forever. In my opinion you should finish it, keeping in mind that it's a very harsh anime with strong content and SADNESS, not for light-hearted watchers. But I absolutely think that the suspense and all the emotions that you'll feel during watching it make this anime a masterpiece!!

Didn't even get stuck with Banana Fish, I could easily binge it, so u should. Within the 9th episode, you're just right before the beginning of a masterpiece imo. Especially the characters and their relationships are so well made, not only Ash and Eiji, but every antagonists as well. Give it another try, because it is definitely worth it.

It can get a little bit boring at the start but as you understand better what’s going on and what’s happening it gets a lot more interesting, you can give it a try

I was in the same boat. I powered through it but I gave it a 4. Which is one of the lowest I have ever rated since I usually rate high. But I just found it extremely boring. The characters except for the husband and wife pair are just extremely boring. It wasn’t really a deep or sad show either. It was just kinda distasteful.

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

id say you should definitly pick it back up i ended up binging it in 2 days and its now one of my favorite anime of all time, and yeah as others said the topics do start to get heavier but it really is a must watch

I don't enjoy it too much the first time I saw it but after rewatching it, and seeing people's points of you on it, I realized it's a very good show

I recomend picking it back up, episode 9 is the first pretty sad episode and on from that there's a lot more tension and action. Its rlly good
