I heard Tokyo ghoul was a crap anime and tbh I want to see for myself. So on where I was gonna watch it they only have eng dub
Is the eng dub of Tokyo ghoul good???

Dub is fine sometimes good i have watched sub and dub too
but I will not suggest dub firstly the adaption is trash and you don't wanna further ruin your tg experience with dub

i haven‘t watched it myself either, but apparently it‘s a pretty bad adaptation. So i‘ll read the manga before i watch the anime

first season is 10/10, second gets a bit confusing towards the end, then the next two are literally not understandable 1/10, I watched the anime first so I was SOOOO confused, terrible adaptation, everyone basically just says read the manga

Okay so the series is pretty good on it's own, but compared to the manga it's very flawed. So I recommend watching the series and read the manga after if you plan to do that for the full experience.

First season is good but the quality declines overall the further you go in the other seasons unfortunately
I would suggest watching only the first season but you will be left on a cliff situation so you will probably end up watching the rest

The worst part is the last season it turned into your usual mainstream action Anime unfortunately

If you are into the Manga I heard it's way better

it isn’t it actually season 1 and season 2 is good I do not recommend u watching re: Tokyo ghoul tho now that is bad (also no dub is not that good)

If I could warn myself from the future to past me I would say buy the manga and if your still interested after reading the manga only watch season 1 subbed.

First read the Manga, then you'll be safe to watch the Anime. It's perfectly fine to watch season 1 without the Manga but from season 2 onwards, you have to read it cuz it's anime original content and from season 3, things start to get messed up.

Episode 12 of the first season is amazing and the rest of season 1 is pretty good. It goes downhill from there.

I watched in dub and it’s pretty good. Both dub and sub are good so that’s not a big problem. But the big problem is the actual anime. First season, literally a masterpiece, second season pretty solid, BUT 3rd season… soo trash and boring that I had to watch it in 2x speed. Haven’t watched the second part of 3rd season but I’m sure it will be bad.

In my opinion the first season is enjoyable but the rest is honestly trash (in itself is good but nothing compared to the Manga) but if you really like the the first season I recommend reading the Manga because it's really good and one of my favorites from what I've read

The first season is actually alright even though it leaves a lot of things out from the manga. After the first season though it becomes bad since it stops fallowing the anime with root A and has spotty animation plush bad pacing. Even sadder is that the season after root A basically retcons root a like it never happened and is even worse because the pacing. Basically read the manga which is really good and watch the first season.

No the first season is ok the protagonist is a little bit annoying at the begging but in rest is a solid anime, however the following seasons are let's generously say not the sharpest tool in the box

In my opinion the show is good and it can be confusing for non manga readers at times but it doesn’t hurt to read small spoilers so you won’t be confused at times or just read the manga

The first season was pretty fun to watch with a cool finale. The second season was like one of those action movies that you have no idea what is going on but the fighting is cool (doesn't make up for confusion.). The third and fourth you just have no idea what is going on because season two decided to go its own direction from the manga and 3 and 4 went back on the manga with no explanation for missed chapters. I only watched the anime and not read the manga, but if you want to enjoy it properly you should probably just read it; and if not, I suggest watching something else (with or without watching season 1)

About the sub or dub, they’re both good. I watched it in dub first and really liked it. The anime itself is good especially the first season, but they just ruined it by not following the manga closer and messing a LOT of stuff up.

Let's get it out of the way, unless you watching anime while multitasking, never go with dub over sub, subs are always, a-l-w-a-y-s, better than dubs. Now for the actual anime, it's a 6, maybe a 7/10. I wouldn't call it good, but it isn't bad as well. The pacing is weird, either it's too fast, or too slow, and it feels a little too edgy for my taste but it's enjoyable. If you like violence, don't mind the ok MC and enjoy stuff with demon vampire things, go for it, just, don't touch anything else after season 1, if you find yourself wanting more, just read the manga. Everything after season 1 is bad atrocious awful

I absolutely loved the first three seasons. I don't know, it was different, interesting, it really got me hyped up. The other two seasons are probably the biggest dissapointment in anime I've ever seen, it completely went downhill.

i watched all of tokyo ghoul in dub and i thought the dub was good but imo for the actual content of the seasons, season 1 and 2 were pretty good but re: i did not like in the slightest

I tried it in dub and sub and both were good. The first season is amazing, but I just couldn’t understand what the hell was going on in the second season. I actually liked re, though I heard s2 deviates a lot from the manga (albeit I’m not a manga reader) and s3 tries to link it back without filling in the missing plot holes. Because I’m an anime only I didn’t know how little it sticks to source so I just watched it for what it is and enjoyed everything about TK (except s2).

I have seen some bad animes like Big Order, Lord of Vermillion, Taboo Tattoo but oh god Tokyo Ghoul is some serions shit, S1 was really good but After that it became the worst thing i've ever seen

S1 is decent and watchable, the rest is not good.

1 st season was adapted good but they left some important information
2nd season was completely different from manga
The ending was same as Manga for 2nd season but they left some points

I had watched the third season before 1st two season it was enjoyable to watch but an very bad adaptation of manga

Simply watch first season then read the manga

The only bad thing about Tokyo Ghoul is adaptation, it got whole 145 chapters but the 2 season only contain 24 episode total, 12 episode each season then Tokyo Ghoul:re got 170+ chapters and it also contains the same number of episodes so just think that how many things are nit even adapted, Tokyo Ghoul√A was a whole crap as it was non canon l, Tokyo Ghoul:re both season were pretty good overall, well to be honest Tokyo Ghoul overall is not a bad anime if you ignore manga but I have read manga first for better understanding and I am disappointed with anime, Tokyo Ghoul S1 is a great job, Tokyo Ghoul:re S1 and S2 were also not that bad but Tokyo Ghoul√A is the biggest flaw of this anime.

Tokyo ghoul is amazing. Everybody is saying that it's crap , but i myself enjoyed it. I definitely suggest to watch Tokyo ghoul the first two seasons are amazing but Tokyo ghoul re isn't good and the dub is good too.
