As I saw the last trailer of this movie about months ago in which fight between AZAKA and RENGOKU in trailer was shown where Lisa 's Homura was also playing, that trailer was itself was too perfect and emotional that I felt I will cry in the movie for sure. But as I saw last fight with no Lisa's song but another background music was playing, due to this I didn't cry.But don't get me wrong the fight was 10/10 for everyone. But imagine if Homura was playing what will happen to you?
So,Does you cry in the movie at any scene?

I only cried 3 times.

1. I cried because of how precious Rengoku was.

2. His backstory

3. Obv, the ending

I read the manga beforehand and watched the movie twice, teared up at the part where the tuberculosis kid enters Tanjiros spiritual core. The events of his “dream” and how Tanjiro said they should have been living forever like that leading up to how beautiful and peaceful Tanjiros Core was made me tear up.

I already knew what was coming every step of the way but the smoke clearing to the shot of akaza’s arm through rengoku and rengoku dead as he cracks his last smile got me in the feels fosho.

I've watched it so many times and I cry every single time. The storytelling was so good that in such a short period of time I fell in love with the character that it was heartbreaking to watch him die. I guess they way they showed his personality and his backstory that really captured my heart.

I cried a lot. As someone who wasn’t incredibly invested in Rengoku in the beginning, he grew on me, and then I full on started bawling when I started to figure out he was getting killed off. The part that hit me the most was the moment shared between him and his mother— that hurt a lot.

I hardly ever cry to anime, but the end really hit me hard. I didn't really care much about Rengoku before the movie, but wow did I get attached to him. it was so rough watching him slowly die with Tanjiro crying and not being able to save him. the moment with his mom was a very beautiful moment as well.

I didn’t cry, I kind of just sat back and was able to just appreciate the beauty of the movie, surprising because I find myself crying during a handful of anime/movies

Nope. I'm not too sure why, but not at any point in this movie did I cry. Perhaps, it's because I didn't love Rengoku all that much, I did think he was cool tho, just didn't connect enough with him to make me cry.

I felt nothing after watching animes like A silent voice, I want to eat your pancreas, violet evergarden where ppl clame they cried buckets. Kny and 'your name' are the only animes where my eyes went blurry due to tears. That said I didn't cried buckets though.

I read the manga and I new what was going to happened but it hurts when you get to see animated. I cried in Tanjiro’s dream and I also cried when Rengoku’s mom came.

no I also did not cry and yes the fight was 10/10.
I don't think that homura could have been better cause that fight ost absolutely did

The only time I teared up was when tanjiro was screaming towards the direction azaka had ran. Just the voice acting performance there was amazing. The only reason I didn't cry during the end was because I hadn't really been attached to him as much. Still 10/10 movie tho!

[SPOILER ALERT]

I'll be real with you chief, the first 1/3 or so of the movie was boring, useless, and unimportant to the character narrative it wanted to tell.

However, as much as I wanted to hate Rengoku and his stupid eyebrows... I can't. He fought like a badass (which Demon Slayer fight scenes on a movie budget looked absolutely stunning), and went out like one. They made me care about him, and I'm honestly amazed his farewell made me tear up despite his irrelevance in the first half of the movie. I don't think the movie would have been as good if they kept him alive, but they did a great job with his character at the end.

As someone who dropped the series for a year and picked it up again only to watch the movie at a friend's request, I'm honestly looking forward to what happens next.

Only because there wasn't enough Nezuko. Rengoku was a painfully stupid character and I was yawning looking at my watch while he died for a half an hour. Terribly melodramatic bullshit for a character I barely know and do not care about. The crow having a tear was SO fucking cheesy.

When I read the manga I didn't really care, his death didn't strike me as hard but then the anime had me crying due to Tanjiro and Inosuke's reactions, plus I didn't realize how much of a good man he really was.

I cried at the ending but I feel like the sadness was a bit too simple. Don't get me wrong, Rengoku's death was indeed sad. He was so busted up, cracked skull; a damn hand through his gut. The sad backstory and the appearance of his dead mother also contributed, but there are some anime shows that I've watched that cut deeper.

Yeah

I had read the manga, but I cried at the end of the movie!

What a movie!

I'm waiting for the next season

Entertainment District Arc is definitely the best arc of this manga!

If you cried then you are way too soft it was nothing like that emotional like your lie in april,a silent voice etc ( I didn't cried in them too but they felt very emotional )

Yeah I only cried at the end lol, I loved it a lot considering it was the first movie I’ve seen in a theater in about a year since Covid shut everything in my city down with a few of my irl best friends, definitely would watch it again (especially since they played the English dub instead of the sub cause they “got them both mixed up” lel)

It was one of the most touching movies I've ever watched, but i still didn't cry though i really wanted to. I am just almost unable to cry because of a movie. My eyes got a little wet when homura started playing and there were shown pictures of rengoku. If I was a bit more emotional I would definitely cry like a baby.

Definitely cried.

1. At Tanjiro running away from his family dream.
2. Rengoku’s dad being a deadbeat.
3. The ending of course. Especially “Set your heart ablaze.”
