| Both have good reasons for war, Marley also wants the reasources from Paradis, like oil. Eldians haven't went on rumbling other nations for several generations, but Marley judges them by their ancestors which is understandable. In place of Marley I would not take the risk to allow another rumbling to happen their modern civilization also need the reasources. Eldians don't want to be wiped out because their ancestors invaded other nations. This is what's great about the story, everyone has a good reason to fight. |

Im talking about a Marlyean citizen in which they know that Eldians have opressed them for years. Its not even a matter of Eren and his friends being bad. The point is both sides did incredibly bad shit. |

The people who wanted to kill Eren did not know about titan shifters and they saw the titans as enemies for hundreds of years. Of course they would be scared shitless, the last time a titan appeared inside the walls, they lost 200.000+ lives. So how much time has to pass until a nation and their people is free of their old sins? 100 years? 1000 years? Never? |

| Wow never realized this, they show some hints in the season 3 Ending song aswell. Production team for this anime and Isayama are really thinking about the story for it so well. they both have their reasons for war, thanks for the thread |

Saying "Do you know how much people here you killed?". Its very similar to what the Marlyean's say. Maybe the main characters wouldn't do it. But who's to say the same about the rest of the nation? I doubt Historia would prevent this from happening. |

| Eldians have a massive natural advantage, they can transform into giant and overpower human like any, and just step on them. The world knows what they are capable of, and they won't stop until they are eradicated for the same reason. Sure, Eldians could just stay on Paradis in isolation, but is that truly something humanity can bet on? What if they decided to go offensive again in the future? Humanity cannot allow that, and therefore they want to wipe out Eldians to eliminate the chance of it. Then from Eldian perspective, they don't want to be killed, they don't want to be judged by their ancestors' actions, they want to survive and they have the right to fight for their survival. If that means waging war against humanity then so be it. I doubt that Marley population is made only of extreme racists and fascist who murder and feed children to dogs, but that is what the narrative shown us, because that's the angle from which the writer of the story wants the audience to observe the events from. Marley prefers to follow totalitarian ideology and conquer the world whilst forcefully spreading propaganda about its enemies, such as Eldians being devilspawns. I think Marley would invade Paradis even if it was occupied by just another human nation. Marley has to be stopped for the sake of the world otherwise they will conquer and destroy all of the other nations, simply because they have a more developed and larger warhead. Eldians should release the colossal titans and initiate another rumbling against Marley, until they surrender then claim the Eldian captives and Marleyans who wish to join. |

Anime was it's best 20000 years ago, when cavemen drew art with real depth. Modern anime is all garbage. I miss great old days of anime. |
