OP said that the gender of the body of BLACK was male so I guess the gender of the body for this series if female since the genders of their WBC is swapped.

Considering how everything's so KAWAII, I'd say it's a female.

Wrong. Canonically, gender or other details are never revealed to help the audience better relate to the characters' work. So, you can think that if you are biologically a woman, then the body is female, but if you are a man, then the body is male.

What I am going to discuss it is not about gender, but the age of the person, to which, I believe, is his mid-teens, because of the types of things that have happened.

I can take, for instance, the scaped knee, which a teenage boy would get while skateboarding.

As to why I am stating that this person is a guy, is that a guy would take more risk than a gal.

Do you believe that this person is a mid-teenage boy, so you think it is of another gender?

Yes I do, but they tend to be more cautious, then guys. So that is why I think it is a guy, plus smart gals make sure that the gear they use is in good condition.

I'm pretty sure the host body is a girl probably a middle schooler or a freshman in high school since most of the situations that happen to their world are quite trivial.
"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

Cancer (
) and a severely severed neck(?). Yes quite trivial, LOL!

Age wise cancer is more likely the older you get, but the body is relatively healthy, certainly compared to BLACK, so I would say 20s/30s.

As for the sex (gender is different) of the host body I would go with Female with the swap of the characters, but like was said above until we get confirmation it's hard to tell.

Considering the one in Cells At Work Black is male and a lot of the cells are gender-swapped compared versions of the cells in the regular show, it's highly likely the body in this show is female. Also the immune system is shown to be quite strong and women on average tend to have stronger immune systems so that also would lead to it making more sense for the body in this show to be female.

It's obviously a narrator character, in Black it's Kenjiro Tsuda and body is obviously man in late 40s/early 50s and in regular series it's Mamiko Noto and body is woman in late 30s/early 40s.

what does it matter?
it could be a monkey or dog for all we know (yea yea I don't remember rn but there were a few clues that it was a human)

Still, foolish question and useless discussion.

I remember reading somewhere that the author wanted to keep the sex of the body a secret. Basically, he doesn't want to reveal it.

Since Black is clearly male in his late '40s, maybe older. I think the body is a girl because women have a stronger immune response to infections than men according to a number of studies. As for the age, I don't know.

I think the body is not supposed to have a specific genre assigned. Just because the body in HSB is male and genres of some cells are swapped, it is not enough to say this one is female.

1) While the red blood cells in HSB are all male, they are male and female in HS.
2) Neutrophils are female in HSB and male in HS, but there are other white blood cell, so in the end, white blood cells come in both genders in HSB and HS.
3) Normal cells are male and female in HSB, but they are purely male in HS.

Basically, just because the neutrophils are swapped, it is not enough to determine the gender of HS body.

You can't determine a character's sex or gender by a scraped knee.

Yeah, I mean anyone can trip and scrape their knee on a sidewalk or something.

If anything, I associated "scraped knee" with little kids running around on a playground instead of whether the person was a boy or a girl.
