Does anyone has recommendations for shows with slow burn character driven narratives? You know stuff like Monster, Vinland Saga, Monogatari, Katanagatari, etc.

Uta∽Kata was a pretty good slow-paced show even with its weird fanservice. You'll probably love it if you loved Madoka Magica.

Yes they do fit the criteria of the kind of shows I am looking for but unfortunately I have already seen them. However if you know something similar to these shows than you can recommend those to me as well.

Oh I have heard great things about this one but I am not really into sports anime. Would you recommend it to someone who doesn't like sports anime?

I know it's about shogi tournament and stuff but that's just around 30% of the actual plot itself. I dropped it because it's not my thing but then I pick it up again and it become one of my favorite. Season 2 a lot better tho maybe you can give it a try a few episodes

+1 Chihayafuru and yes, I would 100% recommend it even to people who don't like sports anime

Haikyu - also a sports anime, but it's built around the characters' personalities and interactions, it's really more about character arcs than actual volleyball

+1 Spirited Away (and pretty much everything else by Ghibli)

Nana (don't be dissuaded by the shojo looks, the story is smart and the characters well developed)

Bakemono no Ko

Seirei no Moribito

+1 Durarara (not sure it exactly fulfills the objective, but the 1st season is really mad and entertaining, do give it a go sometime)

last but not least, Tsuritama - weird but cute and character-driven
