Im gonna explain it to you as if youre not a manga reader.

There is a lot more titan action in this season and with the tight schedule they had(they even delayed it to december) they were forced to do CGI on Titans because otherwise it would be way too much work for upcoming episodes.

Because they are liars. They didn't release a second PV on purpose, and every promotional material they released except for the 3d armored titan was misleading. Not just the usage of 3D, but character designs and other things as well.

No matter how you look at it, MAPPA is at fault. If people knew this would happen, they could adjust their expectations accordingly or read the manga instead of waiting. It's crazy how people can defend this unethical freak show of a studio.

its really strange how people keep defending them and when you check the people who defending the studio you find most of them gave AOT previous seasons 8 or less, so they are not big fan for the series and they dont care about it

and for anyone who said thats its hard to make the titans in 2D they are laying
WIT did it and in the end titan or human both are hand drawing
they just want to spare money and time on my favorite anime

According to Cao this season has the largest budget for any aot season. Budget!=Quality. They implemented cgi titans due to time restrictions and production hell.

I wish they fix the Blur and colors in the forthcoming episodes. It is not feasible even as a stylistic choice.

Subjectivity is a joke on MAL. If you implicitly bring in subjectivity in your counter argument, you've already lost the debate. Also this website is a fankid infestation , have pity on those kids by ignoring there quotes as they have absolutely no clue what exactly is going on.

Attack on Titan season 1 and other seasons as well had a lot of changes in its Bluray version. S1 had a bad schedule as well. We might possibly get some improvements in the BDs

pre-animated PV is no way a visual indicator of the actual show or at least its the best visual quality one can expect but not better than it and usually the actual show is a downgrade compared to the pre-animated PV

CGI is very bad it looks like in-game footage from Playstation 2 game.

No its not blended very well. They should have add extra colors and drawing to make it more natural but they don't have time i guess.
