OP characters are cool if the story is made in a specific way, One Punch Man is very loved because of the main OP character. I too love them, why not, it's a great feeling when they beat the shit out of the bad guys

Kenshi Masaki from war on geminar was a very entertaining op character. The early part of the series plays his overpoweredness for laughs and it's very funny.

If they are well-written and handled well then maybe, but most of the time they're not.

Was about to name the same bunch, but you beat me to it. Except for Saitama, this kind of parody is not my thing.

Saitama obviously, ainz ooal gown (in s1 at least, the rest is garbage anyway) aaaand that's about it. When I think OP I really imagine as "no one else comes even close" and since I haven't watched many isekai, I haven't seen such characters all that often. Maybe koro-sensei can be considered an OP character?

Mob from Mob Psycho 100, for every reason he is great, so is Saitama from One Punch Man, so both of them are amazing.

Yes, I really like when they have an OP mentor type character or badass OP characters such as:
Sinbad (Magi)
Laxus (Fairy Tail)
Escanor (The 7 Deadly Sins)
Saitama (One Punch Man)
Gildarts (Fairy Tail)

There isn’t a single OP character I like more than Kenshi. Season 2 when?
Oh wait, I have Haruhi Suzumiya in my favorites. But she’s different from Kenshi. Really!!

Saiki Kusuo because comedy
Alucard because its fun seeing all the extremes villains have to go through to defeat him
Jotaro because testosterone
God Hand because it makes Guts feel even more insignificant and small
All Might because he is really just a fun character.

I think OP characters are done best when they're written for comedy, so like Saitama from One Punch Man and Sakamoto from Sakamoto Desu Ga? would probably be my go-to examples.

Well if we're talking about the main MC/protagonist (the one character we follow around in the story), then generally no. The only ones I could think of that I like are Mob (Mob Psycho), Guts (Berserk), Light (Death Note), and Rai (Noblesse). Most other ones are boring, unlikeable, or badly-written. Not a big fan of parody ones like Saitama either.

Secondary OP MCs, like Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji) or Hak (Akatsuki no Yona) are usually fine. OP side characters are usually awesome; I especially like the ones that act like mentors.

I like OP Characters yes, but they're not my favorite archetype as most of them (from titles I've seen anyways) are sooo linear and lack any depth, mixed with generic attributes or features so it's pretty easy to get tired of them so quickly. I find that the atleast manageable to the best OP characters have a common aspect, any form of development, whether self wise, or their relationship to the other characters in the cast, or even just story wise, something that would make me feel like there is progress.

As for my favorites, there is Kageyama from Mob Psycho, Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord, Saitama from OPM, and the dude from Charlotte whom I forgot the name of but he was my favorite all time character back then.

That's funny coming from a guy borrowing the name of Erwin, a character who's very fleshed out in term of intellect and has no OP superpower.

Yes, I do. Well, I see a character as OP even if it's not OP for what concerns fight skills or superpowers. For example, Light from Death Note is an OP character from my point of view.

I love Arale-chan.

Saitama on the other hand can go suck it. His overpoweredness is too forced to be amusing.

As long as they're written or their overpowered nature helps deepen their character rather than damage it as well as there being a genuine reason for them having such power such as their training regime, then yes. Some key examples would include Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken, Meruem from Hunter X Hunter and Guts from Berserk (if counting him).
About 90% of the time or more, however, overpowered characters tend to serve as nothing but a power fantasy lacking substance or a poor attempt at self-inserts, so to answer the topic, I'd say no as a whole but with rare exceptions.

When some simple guys are OP it's usually very funny, but it feels too much to put a lot of physical strength or some kind of special powers to smart characters, because high IQ is already almost like super power.

Son Goku is maybe the best example from quite simple and happy guy with enormous strength. There is many similarities also with Saitama.

If they are well done , charismatic and/or work well as an integral part of the story.

Sadly op characters are often times just used as an incel-wish-fullfilment-fantasy
