+1 Konosuba Movie < Both seasons
+1 Little Busters > Refrain
Both seem like unpopular opinions so I mentioned them.
I am not sure why I couldn't enjoy Konosuba Movie although it looked better. Pretty girl Megumin even looked prettier in the movie, I always liked YunYun too in both seasons. But for some reason I found the movie not as fun as S1 and S2.
"The secret of the world" in LB was obvious to me since the first season, so I found 13 episodes of Refrain as chores to watch. Maybe I would like it better if it had less episodes.

What do you think of the 1st half of the season, which follows the same formula of the 1st season? It’s only the 2nd half of the season I hate, the “Refrain.”

For me there's a gap between OPM s1 and OPM s2 because of the change of studio and the way they did things in s2. Also between The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya s1 and s2. Those Endless Eight episodes, like come on.
Also Tokyo Ghoul. Each season I was less enthousiast.

It's Log Horizon. The 1st season is good since it's focused on the story. The 2nd season focused to that kids party which I don't like them in the 1st place, it just annoying. Maybe it's character development, but I don't care about them.

It´s actually not between seasons, but in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun there´s a serious problem between archs. In the first arch we find Misaka and the girls fighting against crime, monsters and a scientific with a really great story, and suddenly in the second arc they start... babysitting? What the actual fuck? I know they had to make up time for Index but come on

Shokugeki no Souma s1 rated 8 to Shokugeki no Souma s5 rated 1.There's a seven points difference and I firmly stand behind it.S5 is some shounen parody that is released under Shokugeki's label. The decided to remove everything that makes Shokugeki unique in s5.The animation is absolute dog shit and infuriating at the same time.

They are not really similar imo. IIRC, Kurugaya's arc started at that first episode of S2.

I didn't even hate the second half, it's Kyousuke and the other guys' arc right ? I just felt it too slow. I didn't really mind S1 being slow because it was more a slice of life. But S2 was when the main plot really started. Even the first arc of S2 was really fast.

(6 → 8)
I gave Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru's 1st season a score of 6, but the rest a score of 8. The animation improved a lot, which affects my enjoyment, it also acts as "plainness" or "genericness" eradication from the 1st season.

(8 → 6)
I gave Log Horizon's 1st season a score of 8, but the 2nd season a score of 6. The storytelling just became worse. The first-half is somewhat dragging and not some parts aren't being explained properly, it's like copy-pasting dialogues from the novel.

(8 → 6)
I gave Nanatsu no Taizai's 1st and 2nd season a score of 8, then the 3rd season a score of 6. I guess the explanation is not needed here.

(4 → 6)
I gave Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's 1st season a score of 4 since many mysteries are being left unsolved, the last arc of the 1st season is also seemed to ignore the previous arcs. However, I gave the 2nd season of this show a score of 6. It became better, the main mystery is solved, but I find it pretty weird for that character (I can't say it since it'd be a spoiler) not to take actions in the 1st season. Not to mention that some mysteries from the 1st season aren't being solved or explained properly.

(6 → 2)
I gave Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re a score of 6, but Tokyo Ghoul:re 2nd season a score of 2. I'm not a manga reader but I immediately know that the show is rushed as hell.

(4, 5 → 8)
Lastly, I think this one has the largest gap I ever gave the scores. I gave Suzumiya Haruhi's series a score of 4 and 5 for the 2006 part and the 2009 part respectively. For the 2006 part, I find it pretty much pointless to watch. The show represents Haruhi as a god that other club members must deal with her otherwise the world would be destroyed, but it seems like they weren't dealing with anything. Plus, the episode shuffling is a terrible idea. For the 2009 part, it gets better, but Endless Eight is somewhat dragging. The show could have put more differences in each loop. I also find characters not really that likable, Suzumiya is noisy and knows no manners, Koizumi is quite a shallow character, and Nagato is way too emotionless. Asahina is quite okay I guess, in the end, Kyon is the only character I find likable due to his personality.

Despite the fact that the series didn't satisfy me, I enjoyed the movie and gave it a score of 8. The show just went from being plain to amazing.

One Punch Man - s1 9/10, s2 7/10

Haikyuu - s1 6/10, s2 7/10, s3 7/10, s4 5/10

As you can see, if I liked one season of a show, it's pretty likely that I liked all of the show

Now I gotta hear what you think about Rin’s route! Aside from the abrupt transition into the Refrain route, I thought it was one of the better routes. I haven’t played the game either. I no longer want to, now that I know I’ll dislike the final route. Funny how I’m always less interested in Key’s games after watching their respective adaptations.

Yup it's Clannad here as well, the first season was pretty bad 5/10, but AS was a 6 before the final 10 episodes, after which it jumped to an 8

I didn't really have favorites. But to answer your question, I will probably agree that Rin's story was the most interesting (and important) one.

I had forgotten that Kurugaya disappears after her arc. The disappearance of the girls is actually one of the things I hate about Refrain. I also hate the secret of the world. Terra is even worse. I have no idea how they do it, but Key’s final routes get worse and worse with every game.

You're not alone tbh...
I like Konosuba's season 1 the most.
The first half of S2 was also solid, the second half however began feeling a big repetitive - the exact same jokes being ran over and over with very select few ideas being introduced or developed further. It was alright though, not a horrible experience.

However, the movie wasn't good. As simple as that.
I felt like I'm watching a movie aimed towards 8 year old kids who enjoy seeing some very cringey and gimmicky "story".

First of all - having all of Megumin's village with the exception of Yunyun acting exactly like her doesn't help. Megumin is tolerable because there is exactly one copy of her, and she doesn't get as many jokes dedicated to her as Kazuma, Darkness or Aqua. Yet, in this movie, we had an entire village of clones who are exactly like her. It gets irritating really fast.
Also, Sylvia was completely dumb. Ok, so she is a chimera with 2 genders mixed together. Why does she constantly fall for Kazuma's lies when it is this obvious he is lying? Why did she get ressurected with a powerup for no reason? Dullahan, Vanir and even Hans were being made fun of, but atleast they had character. Sylvia is "Oh, I have big boobs and a dick, love me". She never felt like an actual character, but instead some kind of a dumb fantasy of someone with a futa fetish.

Also, Yunyun pretty much sacrificed her own skillpoints for the sake of Megumin. Megumin treats her like shit and makes fun of her. Yunyun will be stuck with the consequences of her actions while Megumin remains like the little brat she is without any downside or regret.

Aqua and Darkness were barely in the story itself and had very small roles so they couldn't carry this dumb movie out of its chuunibyou stage and give it something amusing to look at.

So yeah, I am with you on this one. S1> S2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Movie.

Psycho-Pass (-3)
Chuunibyou (-3)

Nothing too drastic. Also JoJo got a -4 but the parts are basically stand-alone so I won't count them as a subsequent season.

Log Horizon S1: 7
Log Horizon S2: 3

I hated how the second season spent like 60% of the runtime on the children joined Log Horizon rather than Shiroe who is actually interesting. I found little to no interest in what they were doing.

The only gaps I can see are between Natsume yuujinchou and Arslan Senki. Both with a gap of 2.

I gave Natsume yuujinchou S1 an 8 and every other season a 9 or 10. Arslan Senki S1 got a 9 and S2 got a 7.
