Byronic Heroes were popularized by Poet Lord Byron.Byronic heroes are charismatic characters with strong passions and ideals, but who are nonetheless deeply flawed individuals who may act in ways which are socially reprehensible because his ideals are contrary to conventional society.A Byronic Hero has his own set of beliefs which they will not change.Their internal conflicts are heavily romanticized. They may have lot of charisma and attractive physically. They may be ruthless, cunning in their pursuit.

My favourite ones are Hachiman Hikigaya from My Teenage Romantic Comedy and Reinhard von Lohengramm from LOGH.

I think Lelouch of Code Geass would fall under this character category.

Good question! Kiritsugu Emiya from Fate/Zero instantly springs to mind, as well as Shinya Kougami from Psycho-Pass. I suppose Spike Spiegel kinda qualifies as well - so it looks like spiky black hair is definitely a prerequisite! :D

I would probably say Lelouch from Code Geass.

The first one I thought about when reading that description was the Count / Gankutsuou.
Loved that show, it wasn't a new story, but amazingly adapted and visually most stunning. The count is definitely a character you won't forget easily.

I tend not to enjoy those types too much, especially if they don't get proper development, as I see people romanticizing them and using them to justify their own flaws instead of working on them. I used to be one of those antisocial types that deeply related to Hachiman (he was my "role model" of sorts) when I was around 13 but now I'm way more conscious and would rather relate to those who are more friendly and full of good qualities and use those as role models.

I do enjoy it when the development of those characters is done right, though. I'm reading Ashita no Joe these days and I'm enjoying Joe's development a bunch.

If Sinbad from Magi isn't a Byronic hero, I don't know who is. He checks all the boxes.

It has to be Yabuki Joe and Rikishi
Even Dezaki was influenced, making Takarajima's Captain Flint similar to Rikishi

Luffy is definitely a "rogue hero"-type character, so should he fit in this category?

"Who are your favourite Byronic Heroes in Anime?"

Does Pikachu count? He kind of sounds like a creation from the romanticism.
