Not taking any credits, I wasn't the one who figure it out, would love to give credit to the person but there is a lot of persons posting this info on many different forums.

But anyways, here it is for anime only, I doubt you all even remember the 1st season episode title. lol

Warning you have to watch season 3 part 2 episode 9 to read this post, you have been warned.

For those who have not seen some discussions on how the number 13 is significant, lets do some math:

From the narrations in season 1 and the history books shown, around 100 years ago (specifically, 107 years from chapter 2 of the manga), the first ruler of the Walls, King Fritz the 145th created the walls to protect humanity.

When a someone gains a titan power, their remaining lifespan is set to 13 years due to "Ymir's Curse". Same number of years between the royal family's succesion ritual.

"145th king" means there have been 145 weilders of the Founding Titan at that time. 145 x 13 = 1885. So 107 years ago, it has been 1885 years from Ymir Fritz.

At present time (1885 + 107) it would be 1992 years since Ymir Fritz.

Eren got his titan power at age 10, he's supposed to die when he's 23. Currently, Eren is 15 and has around 8 years left to live.

1992 + 8 = 2000... What was the title of the first episode again? Oh yeah, "To you, in 2000 years." No biggie, nothing to see here.

Just shows how Isayama carefully planned this all from the very beginning, Isayma is god! I will say it again, once this series is completed the rewatch value will be so high!

Even the background of the episode title has foreshadowed about eldians traveling to the paradise.

The only page with the page number in volume 1 was page 13, which included Eren's dream. Isayama is a madlad

Oh, that’s an interesting idea!

It makes total sense to the point where it’s almost scary how meticulous the writer, Isayama Hajime, is! I’m already planning a rewatch before Season 4 airs and a final rewatch once everything is out and crystal clear (hopefully) so at least a couple of rewatches of the franchise are guaranteed!

By the way, a more in-depth idea that is very interesting from the episode title is that the events of Shingeki no Kyojin are in a repeat with Eren ‘transmitting memories and thoughts’ back to the past to save the two. I personally find that to be very intriguing and well thought out but I’m sure many people would start criticising the show and calling it ‘Steins;Gate ripoff’ then.

Man, Izayama's level of "planning" just scares me!
I am amazed at how he thought of everything to make the dates and events fit so perfectly.
I will definitely go see episode 1 of the first season, the cravings to know what the fuck is going on are killing me.

I think, the next Founding Titan shifter is actually listening to Ymir Fritz narrating the whole thing to them in the 2000th Year, the year which Eren dies by getting eaten by his successor.

You betcha, Armin and Eren are going to die in 5 and 8 years so it's definitely is (unless Isayama pulls another Plot Armoured Titan)

On average Asians, under the same financial circumstances, Asian students will do better than any other ethnicity. Isn't just an stereotype, it's reality. Of course there's exceptions.

But yeh at the time the anime aired, I believe the manga was around chapter 40 or so? At that point he could've had a very good idea of where he wanted to go.

The story's planning is great, if only the characters weren't so garbage and edgy I would rewatch the show.

But in the beginning of chapter 2, Eren had still not gotten his titan powers which means that he still had 13 years left at that point in the story, so 1885+107+13=2005 and not 2000

You should use 102 not 107
The point of the story in chapter 2 (manga) happens when Eren in Training corps (years 850, Eren 15 years old - 8 years left) = '107 years ago'.

-

Then the story back to flashback (5 years ago) when The Fall of Wall Maria occurs (Eren 10 years old - 13 years left).
so it should '102 (years ago) (107-5) if you want to count correctly.

145 x 13 = 1885 + 102 +13 = 2000
145 x 13 = 1885 + 107 +8 = 2000

This is supported by Erwin's statement (also still happens in year 850) (S3 Episode 40)

@keragamming , woah, my mind exploded! I mean I didn't expect it to Heike that, but this explanation of everything makes perfect sense. I have always thought that this "To you in 2000 years" referred loosely to something distant, maybe impossible to catch, anyways to something that will take place in far future. Now it makes sense that it referred to SnK lore and the past of it universe.

What's more exciting is that it was all planned years before being explained in manga and eventually in anime (for anime-onlys). Hajime Isayama did a perfect and amazing job.

Thank you for sharing this information.
