Puella Magi Madoka Magica
| It could be that you've been exposed to Madoka before, from random clips or images, just from the hype alone. The series takes inspiration from magical girl titles that came before it though, especially direct inspiration from Cardcaptor Sakura, so maybe that's where the familiarity comes from. The characters are tropes and certain aspects of the plot have been used elsewhere, in other titles (ex. character stuck in time loop) so it's understandable it would feel familiar. Yep. Nothing is completely original and inevitably things get regurgitated. I think it's a selling point to make things familiar, that way people are more open to liking and purchasing said content. |

| With Madoka, I predicted everything that would happen based on.... it is a magical girl series. So maybe you just are having that issue. That was my issue when people said it was so original and best new thing. A lot of people meme Kyuube though. |

| If you already knew about Kyubey going in, then predicting much of the plot should've been simple. Can't say the same for the third movie personally. |

| Well, Madoka borrows heavily from older anime like Tutu or Sailor Moon. Or maybe you watched Hidamari Sketch and remembered the art style. |

| Well it's absurdly well known, Kyubey in particular is iconic so there's a high chance you've seen him before. Also, the "red eyed utilitarist mastermind" has been put to film before. According to your list, it was one of your first shows! Good luck finding something that tops it, I myself never managed to do so... |
