| I've been observing some serious RAM usage from MALU lately. It keeps creeping up as long as it's running, and after a few days it can be more than 1 GB. I also don't understand why it's using 12 % CPU in the screenshot. It was idle as far as I could tell. Anyone else experience this?  I'm only using the Torrents plugin. After a restart of the application, RAM usage is back down to ~20 MB. |

Edit: Nvm, found the file in AppData. Looking through and uploading somewhere. Edit edit: False alarm, that file was from 2014... |
| Hmm even just refreshing your list and then closing the app should bring up the message/window, something like this: maybe you didn't overwrite the old exe?  |

I re-downloaded and replaced again now, but still no luck. No window popping up or anything. I tried running it as admin as well. |

| Closing it by right-clicking the tray icon and clicking Exit. Same result if I click the big M button in the main window and click Exit there. Just using the default skin. |
| hm hold on, I'm testing the exe in a virtual machine and it's not triggering the report either, I'll post back with a new exe later, it seems to be an issue with W7 |

(note that this debug version uses more ram) |

(note that this debug version uses more ram) Okay, I disabled the last two plugins - anime list and manga list - and I only regained 10 MB out of the 180 it had risen to, so I re-enabled them and confirmed the 10 MB extra usage returned. This time, though, I got a report when I closed the application. I'll PM you a link for it. |

Well, I've let it run for a while and it reached just north of 800 MB RAM. The report seems to only produce dumps in relation to files MALU recognizes, but the RAM usage increases steadily when idle as well, so I don't know if the report shows the whole picture. Anyway, I'll PM you the new one. |

Could I maybe have your user folder? so maybe I could replicate the issue on my end by having your anime list, torrents setup and all the settings. The folder is at "C:UsersxAppDataRoamingMal UpdaterUsers" you can remove the (encrypted) user password first in the file Settings/SettingsExtended.xml node "PasswordBox_Text" |

| Apparently MAL has found security issues in their API. Patching it up might take some time and malupdater might not be working with the new one. I hope it's fixed fast because who needs a database without a fast and easy way to manage it! |
| Also having this issue, was assuming it was because MAL made us reset our passwords and it wasn't logging in correctly, but this is something even bigger. Can this be fixed devs? :( |

| Really sucks that this api problem persists, and the site is still partially scuffed... MAL Updater was absolutely fantastic, and always extremely appreciated having it.. I struggle to keep my MAL updated at all without :( |

| Anymore info about the MAL API? is it still down? will it ever come back? Seems from previous posts it's been down almost a year now... just got a bit more free time to watch anime and used to use malupdater all the time when i was younger. it's so helpful. would be awesome to use it once again. *EDIT* Well, i hope they get the API back up soon. Last update about it i read on MAL's forums was from last November. Hope it goes well, but it seems like the API isn't a priority to them. |
