| Never seen an anime with robots where a female character serves as the main protagonist? You didn't really venture far away. Gunbuster! Patlabor!! (original OAVs then movies I and II if you decide to check it) Tenkû no Escaflowne (TV) !!! @QuattroVaginas Why didn't you mention Escaflowne? PS: there is also supposed to be something from TOmino called Brain Powerd or Powered. Never seen it apart from a few clips when it was airing on french TV. edit @QuattroVaginas But, he didn't ask for a pilot boy. He specifically requested a girl as main heroine. Hitomi is undoubtedly the heroine of her show (and not only the outsider point-of-view character), never letting Van stealing the spotlight. I don't recommend Brain Powerd to anyone new to Tomino. There's actually a few more, but either the main girl co-pilots, or she isn't the main main. A lot of teams as well. @Rei366 Oh shit you're right. I think that's what he meant though, otherwise there's a ton of mecha shows with female main characters. |
