I'd been going to visit the grave for years. Why I went, I forgot over time. Just as everyone had grown to accept a grave in a grove by the school, so too had I forgotten what compelled me to center my daily life around it. At first it was just a cool relic, a way to make up fantastical stories of ghosts who still haunt the school grounds. In fact looking back the stories were reflections of my life at that school. From ghosts I evolved to witches, an escape from the boring reality of the days. From witches I evolved to morality, imagining--while others treated their spirit as a neutral fact of the world--what they might have done good, what they might have done bad, and what it all meant about their life and death. I wondered if they might've been murdered for his wrongdoing, or maybe if they were even a murderer themselves. That was ten years ago, when I resolved to stop going to the grave out of disgust for this soul I'd passed judgment on, probably to feel some control or moral high ground in those days.

That night a scene came to me in my dreams. At the grave the murderers and witches I'd dreamed of danced and sing as floating jack-o-lanterns lit their midnight party, their pure and hedonistic Halloween celebration. I went the next day and found a single pumpkin, hollowed but uncarved sitting atop the grave, and as I approached a black kitten in an elaborate costume peeked its tiny head out, as if being born from both the pumpkin and the grave itself. As we locked eyes it pranced away, into the grove behind the little gravestone I'd seen so often. And in that grove, an abandoned building I'd never seen before stood quietly, contemplatively. It was the cat's home, where a decade's worth of decayed pumpkins lined the passage to its abode. I never quite understood what it meant, and I certainly didn't tresspass through its door. I never found out if that rock marked a witch or a murderer or nothing at all. But it gave me a sense of a new life born from that site, a pure life untouched by both their morality and my musings. It was a realization that would propel me towards my life as a witch who sought to rule life and death with an even hand. And though I never tried to find the building again I came back to the grave Halloween after Halloween with a hollowed pumpkin and a costume in hand myself, looking to have a party with the dead, the witches and murderers of the world, or maybe even just with a cat.

On the night of Hallows' Eve, the young witch Kabo-chan was happily flying on her broom. She was excited to go to a party where she could wear a costume of something that wasn't a witch. Soon something had caught her eye though. It was a pumpkin patch that laid before her. Kabo-chan had decided to descend down to check on them. Kabo-chan wanted to pick one to take to the party with her, but wanted to know whose patch this was first. Seeing no one nearby, Kabo-chan had an inner battle between her good and bad self. Her angel side had won out and so Kabo-chan went looking around with a pumpkin in hand.

Kabo-chan had walked to the end of the patch and noticed a large building there. Kabo-chan had deduced that the way the building looked, it might have been once a school. Curious that the owner of the pumpkin patch may be in there, Kabo-chan enters the building. Walking through the halls, Kabo-chan sees nothing strange. She then peeked through a slightly open room at the end of the hall and sees what looked to be a open grave inside. A fresh corpse was nearby and a man covered with blood was right by the corpse. Kabo-chan had witnessed what looked to be a murder and tried to run with her pumpkin. She was stopped by the man and screamed in place instead.

After a bit of time had passed, Kabo-chan learns that he was the owner of the pumpkin patch and what she saw was just a decoration. Kabo-chan soon gets permission to take the pumpkin with her to the party and sets off once again. Once in the sky, she decides to take a look back and sees what looks to be a ghost that looks just like that decorative corpse. Scared of what she just saw, she full speeds ahead on her broom.

Once Kabo-chan arrived to the party, what laid before her eyes as she opened the door was her cat. Kabo-chan hugged her cat as a way to get what she just went through out of her mind. The party then began and the night was full of laughs.

This was fun to create. Though I may write to long.

I woke up on a Wednesday morning and did the usual; brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, then got ready for school. All of my friends and family always calls me an air-head because I get distracted easily. After I finished preparing for school I then left the house and the first thing I say was this super kawaii cat. I then started to tip-top towards it, wanting to pet it and once I got closer to it I saw that it had a name tag that read "Kabo". I then began pondering to myself wondering "where have I heard that before" and while I was lost in my own thoughts, Kabo started to walk off and then I quickly stopped thinking about it and went after it. For one reason or another I chased the cat into a pumpkin field and then realized Kabo sounds like kabocha which means pumpkin in japanese! Feeling a little bit proud of myself I nearly forgotten about my original objective, chasing the cat! I thought I had lost track of it but Kabo was just standing there looking back at me like it was telling me to follow it. I then proceeded to follow Kabo-chan (added chan because of kabocha and I thought it sounded cuter) into an abandon building.

Kabo-chan then started to walk up the stairs and I then started to follow in suit. We then reached the 2nd floor and started to head to the 3rd floor and for some reason the closer I reached the top the fouler the smell got. Once you reached the 3rd floor the smell got more prominent to the point where I thought I was going to puke. Wanting to find out what the smell is coming from I started to head towards where it got worst and that's when I noticed it, a mangled-up body. I then screamed at the tops of my lungs, "AHHHHH, s-someone's been m-murdered! I-I n-need to call the p-police." Before you had the chance to reach inside your pockets for your phone, Kabo-chan started to glow and transformed into a person. "Hello there human, I'm Kabo the pumpkin witch. (*≧▽≦) I was so surprised that I couldn't even say a word. "Helloooo, is anybody homeee?" said Kabo sarcastically. I then snapped out of it and said "A-a what?" "A witch you dummy, can't you see my super cute witch costume and this pro witch hat?" said Kabo gleefully. Her weird, energetic, and nonchalant behavior made everything seem like a lie which actually helped me calm down a bit and cleared my mind. I then began to analyze the situation at hand and I realized that there were actually more dead bodies than the one I just saw, no, there were actually 12 of them in total. A question then came to your mind and you asked Kabo-chan "What is all of this? What happened to all these people? Why did you bring me here? Are you a good or bad witch?" Kabo smiled devilishly and said "oho, you accepted me being a witch pretty easily, I like you already human. Anyways, long story short I killed all these people and I'm going to need you to die too. You see, I'm working on a new spell and I need your, oooh what's the human word for it again? Oh, that's right, your spirit and I can only get it after you die. Basically I need you to turn into a ghost for me, okay? (* >ω<)" I was extremely flabbergasted at the words coming out of her mouth. "Did you really think I would say yea, sure, why not to dying?!" Kabo tilted her head and said "hmm, that's weird, I never gave you a choice of the matter though. Oh, but since I like you I'll even make a grave for you so don't worry." I had no idea what to say to that but Kabo-chan didn't give a a word in inch-wide and proceeded to say some language I've never heard of before. "Don't worry, I won't make it painful <3. My body then started to feel extremely hot and my insides felt like it was burning, one of my arms just fell off my body and for some reason I couldn't even let out a single scream. Before I knew it, I turned into a ghost and saw that my body had turned out like the rest. "Yay, I finally got my 13th ghost, I can finally revive my cat Kenny! Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ" I then face palmed so hard and said "I can't believe you kill me for a cat." "Haha, that's right, you should be honored. He's my bestest friend in the whole wide world." Kabo then took out a bottle and it sucked me into it. She then began the ritual to back Kenny back to life and then they lived happily ever after.

I edited my story for another cupcake.

It was 3 days before the MALoween festival. As I was helping out with carving out pumpkins (more like watching others do it, heh), a small and rather cute cat came up to me and tried to nuzzle my hand! (awww!! ~_~).

As the yolk of day dropped beyond the horizon and out came it's rounded shell, a ghost popped up and said something, only for her to notice that she was looking in the wrong direction and popped up again in front of me.

Forget you saw that.

I pretended I had no idea what she meant and she immediately proceeded to warn me that a Three-horned undead wizard will soon approach me.
Just as she ended her sentence, she vanished without a trace. (I think her name was Carrie---Gumball reference)

The wizard appeared before my eyes and was...actually less than what I'd imagined.

CAN YOU PLEASE MOVE? YOU'RE STANDING ON MY UNDEAD PET'S BED, OR...GRAVE, AS YOU WOULD CALL IT!

Out came what appears to be a dirty, pink teddy bear with an adorable little face. He pointed to the sky; at a witch
(I swear I saw her on TV once...)

She gives a wave with her wand and down falls a glittery dust. And one by one, your positive and negative consciousness takes form.

N: Do you remember that old, abandoned building near the shed? There might be something you want...could be where you lost that Tabo-themed pencil you usually keep in the pencil case you leave in your desk during witch apprentice class...

P: No wait! It might be dangerous! There could be monsters, or worse!

My curiosity forces me to check it out cautiously.

I see the old building and decide to check it out.

And there; right there, I saw a body, bloody and deformed. I looked at it wide-eyed.

The lights turn on, and as I adjust my vision, I see Tabo performing a Halloween skit with a dummy, as it raises a paw with a pencil between his teeth.

Memories: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10
