Space Battleship Yamato 2199 -- Action/space with romance subplot.
Seikai no Monshou -- Very laid-back romance with some action on the side.

Also enjoyed (for the most part):
Shakugan no Shana -- Supernatural/super-power action + slow romance.
Zero no Tsukaima -- Magic/fantasy/comedy/harem + romance.

Best One 'd say is Stein;s Gate. Still haven't found an anime that has a better romance subplot than that, hell it even has a better romance than most romance anime.
