Imagine this situation: your favourite anime gets a 2 cour sequel, but it's all the same episode from different angles and a slightly different story. Would you watch it? Would the characters and everything else be enough to make the experience enjoyable or would it be painful to watch? If all of your favourites are too linear for this to work are there any other anime you could see this idea working for?

A lot of my favourite anime already use a monster of the week style of storytelling so I honestly wouldn't mind if one of them had a sequel in this style. Near the end of the endless I noticed I was already getting used to the style and didn't even really mind it. It was sort of calming to know that it would always be the same things going on

My guess from the title and description that you are saying something similar to the endless 8 in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya? My answer, I might have a chance to enjoy.

If I could enjoy it, I think it would have to be something with a deep yet simple plot (simple because its only one episode over and over again), very enjoyable characters (since you will watch them do the same thing over and over again), and/or a very great climax that keeps the audience wanting to come back in case it is resolved.

Also, since I know what I'm getting into, rather than expecting a fun adventure with highschool kids like the Melancholy, I might be more accepting and able to sit back and enjoy the episodes differences instead of hoping for it to end.

Not too much, but enough to know you're not just watching the same episode every time. It seems that you decided to pass on watching Haruhi (2009), but in that different parts of the story were told in different episodes and there also things that they didn't do every time (for example, they didn't always go to the festival).

I haven't watched the tatami galaxy yet but what you describing sounds really familiar to the description of that series. I dunno depends on how much it differs and on the series and how much I liked it as well as how well would it fit in with the universe of said anime.

Yeah I haven't seen Haruhi yet.
But k my fav anime is Monster (didin't see it on your list) so idk if you'd know about it but its pretty much about a doctor going around trying to kill a certain someone for being evil, and idk how this would pan out if these things happened.

So essentially the same events, but through a different perspective/point of view? Durarara did that numerous times to good effect. Death Parade's first two episodes employed that method. I do recall enjoying those occasions, so I would be excited if more shows did it.

As for which shows I would want to see in such a fashion? Tanaka-kun is Always Listless and Danganronpa are among the firsts to come to mind.

If you mean something like the endless 8 then no. Burn it with fire.

If you mean that they tell the same story but from the perspective of each individual character than yeah i think that'd be a cool idea.
