It wasn't easy to make that functionality though :3 In order to make it work I had to add groups to users just like post categories. Unfortunately unlike every other "taxonomy", when you add one to users none of the automation of wordpress kicks in, so you have to manually update user counts, create an admin page etc etc :3 Then I have to create a custom meta field on the product admin pages to let you select groups to which to show that product. However when you don't select anything (same as when you create the product), then it'll save it into the database with a NULL value. So I then have to create a custom database query to retrieve only those products that you're allowed to see, but for some stupid reason you can't use "IS NULL" in wordpress xD Well you can use it, but the only thing you can check for with that is the post_id, which is not what I need to check xD So I had to make sure that instead of saving NULL to the database it'd save an empty value ^^ It is a statement only permitted to the privileged xD |
