THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well this episode was intense. For a second, I almost thought Kirigiri would fall to her death after falling into a trap until that timely save. Andou shows her true colors and it's kinda creepy. I like how Kirigiri is able to piece together the case together from the clues she remembered. What a detective. |

Showing a teacher who joined military and lost a comrade. The reason she didn't speak was revealed. A robot? Wow so cool when fighting against Munakata. Suwabe-san's character found the group who are still investigating. So he's NG was to be a boxer. Ex- teacher stopped him with the trap, but saved detective girl using his NG, which is opening up left hand. Sweet girl almost controlled Suwabe-san's character. Wait, Sweet girl killed her own boyfriend because he NG code was to get everyone out and she found a possible way out. The detective girl and timid guy ran away while other two are occupied with that door. A group with Ishida-san's character activated something and the building collapsed. |

Makoto and Komaru are such cute siblings, I want to see them meeting each other again. (;◡;) ♡ That scene where Kirigiri was falling reminded me of the OP... Although I had mixed feelings regarding her reaction at the ending. Oh well. Well, things makes more sense now knowing Ruruka's NG action, still doesn't excuse the things she did, of course. Kizakura was such a bro, he didn't deserve this (´;ω;`). I think her NG action and Kizakura's were the ones I less expected, though to be honest I never stopped to think about what would be her NG action. It was indeed a bit weird how Kizakura have been keeping his left hand in his pocket all the time, but I wasn't sure in what to expect from this. It was a NG action simpler than I thought too ww. I laughed a bit loud when Ryouta made "ughh" when Kirigiri said she licked saliva of a dead body. ww Aaaaaaaaand another cliffhanger. ಠ_ಠ (And great Monolisa) |

I'm watching the raw right now. I will comment again when the subtitles are out. It is kinda fun to see what I totally got wrong XD - Togami arrived YAAAS - A little hint about Asahina's little brother, unfortunately we didn't get to know if she knows he died or not o-o - So, Naegi can't run in the corridors, but inside a room is okay. I get it. - GHOUL MUNAKATA TO THE ATTACK! - WTF BASED MECHAGAHARA! GOOO! (I didn't understand what she said, she doesn't have Munakata's information? Or does she? @-@) - Sakakura beating up people like usual (dude, even Kirigiri and Ruruka, this guy is an asshole). I'm pretty sure we are going to see the full scene of that flashback Sakakura had in Zetsubou-hen. He was at the ground and Junko was smilling... - NOOOOO FEDORA MAAAAN! HE DIDN'T EVEN TIPPED HIS FEDORA! Ç-Ç His NG Code was that he couldn't open his left hand or use it and he was the one who took THAT photo! - Ruruka's candies are like drugs and she did kill Izayoi like everybody predicted. And she didn't want Kirigiri to discover the Monokuma door. I think her NG Code is that she can't let people get out? So she killed Izayoi because she thought he would get out using the Monokuma door. SOMEONE POINTED IT OUT TO ME AT THE BR FORUMS: Maybe it is an elevator. If that is true, now it is probably blocked. DUDES DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDES DID TOGAMI DIED? He was inside the building, right? And it collapsed... And I guess they are not inside that building...maybe underneath it or somewhere else (if it is not virtual reality and I hope is not XD) Now is the long wait until the subs :( Ruruka vs Izayoi So, for what I understood, Ruruka didn't killed Izayoi on purpose, not that she cared about him, but the guy was trying to get out using the Monokuma door and to stop that she gave him one of those brainwashing candies (the ones Sakakura ate) and Izayoi died because his NG Code was that he couldn't eat. Then she got out of her way to fake his death... So we have some NG codes confirmed: - Sakakura: He can't punch - Scout dude: He couldn't open/use his left hand - Izayoi: He couldn't eat/Having food touch his mouth. - Ruruka: She can't let people get out (I guess) |

I'm getting tired of this stupid delay. Wow,just wow. Second time liking a character, my mistake again. Even if it was already obvious with that start of the ep that he raised a death flag upon him, it's still painful. I really have to learn from my mistakes and stop having any hope for any character. At least he died saving his friend's daughter, but it's still cruel.. he didn't deserve this. Monaka just had to leave when she became likable and leave a bigger satan's spawn in her place? Great... I barely understood anything Kirigiri said thanks to the lack of subs. But what I got is that Ruruka IS the ultimate scum of the earth, while Juzo redeems himself if he just kills the bitch. At least it was true that Izayoi died by his forbidden action and was that bitch's fault. I believed him until now but I'm sick of Naegi's "I won't let anyone die anymore!!1!" The only survivors will be DR1's survivors so I don't even care anymore. |

If anyone here speak French, just know that French subs are out. And well, what should I say? What an episode. In my opinion, Monaka was definitely hinting at this episode's cliffhanger, and I kinda expected that (not this way, but Togami being the one in danger). I don't think Togami is dead, it's too obvious. The cliffhanger hints at the killing game taking place in 'other premises than it seemed at the beginning', if I have to word it exactly. They can feel inside the consequences of what happens outside (explosions, etc) so they are probably very close. A basement is a possibility. Virtual reality is another, with outside stimulus impacting the game, though it is really convoluted. I have to say I loved Kirigiri's deduction scene, and it provided me precise arguments as to why I doubt the "killer alternates" theory. The stabbing is too accurate every time, and we saw with the example of Ruruka that not everyone in the Future Foundation is a trained killer. So the theory of a different killer in each phase is very unlikely, at best. And if you phrase it differently, we can say that the traitor is someone who would not miss the heart in a single knife stab. Not sure how this is useful now though, it could have been at an earlier point to rule people out. I am a little sceptical at her final scene though. It felt weird to be honest. Maybe it was just a conclusion to her character 'development' (though you can hardly call it that way) and her role from now on will be more instrumental. EDIT: not sure, but did Kirigiri say/show something to Mitarai that we didn't hear/see? The latter suddenly had a 'surprised' look on his face when they escaped the lounge. |

So, Ruruka NG code was that she cannot let people left the building. And that her candys control people and she tried to make Izaoyoi don't open the door but his NG code was that he cannot eat. Interesting. |

Well guys. I think it's safe to assume that Byakuya, and maybe even Hagakure are dead. You don't survive having a skyscraper fall on top of you, which proves the theory evermore that they are in another building. Likely underneath the water. And again no sign of the Remnants of Despair at all in this episode. That's it, I won't be expecting them to appear next episode. I'll just focus on what's happening at the Future Foundation quarters. However, it was still a pretty solid episode, with many interesting details revealed, and the death of a (pretty awesome) character. I'm still confused. Ruruka killed Izayoi because if someone escaped from the building, it would activate her NG code. But even so, she is NOT the traitor? Because having a forbidden action like that makes it seem like she is the attacker. So that only leaves us with Mitarai and Juzo, or who knows, maybe Chisa is still alive?. |

I have to say I'm satisfied with the way they handled Kizakura's character. They did a great job at giving him subtle apperances, keeping his 'laid-back' character by not giving him too much content, yet they managed to make his death one of the sad ones. I feel his 'story' was mostly balanced. |

At first that kind of NG action may, indeed, seem like she is the attacker. However! If you think about her past, it makes pretty sense. Ruruka has been the kind of person who didn't have many friends. She has trust issues, but deep down, she feels lonely and WANTS to trust someone. The only person she still had was Izayoi. Therefore, her NG action makes a lot of sense thinking of it in another way: she couldn't leave with anyone. Not even with the only person she "trusted" and considering as special for her. She had to leave alone. The NG actions are related to them in a way or another, but in a way that will make things harder for them, emotionally, physically or both. (And I'm pretty sure, unless Chisa's body is fake which I doubt, she is pretty much dead... Kirigiri said the stabs were all directly to the heart, there's no way she would survive that. Plus the chandeler. And also Munakata stabbing her later) |

Finally could watch it thanks to spanish subs. All I can say regarding Kizakura's death is: I KNEW IT!!!! The last Zetsubou-hen episode with him promising Jin to look after Kyouko raised his death flag. Still, I didn't expect him to die because of Ruruka. *Sigh* I liked him, it's sad that he had to die :C Ruruka killing Izayoi was foreseen, the blood on his eye and the white powder gave it away. It was still cool how Kirigiri figuratively kicked her ass with her reasoning, like a true detective. What I'm curious about now is...did Izayoi like Ruruka because of her sweets? Did they have a sort of drug on them? Hmm...still, Ruruka's trash; worst character in Danganronpa 3. Also, like others said, I'm kinda getting tired of Naegi saying stuff like "I won't let anyone die anymore", "hope ftw". Lol, ok man but Kirigiri and Asahina are the ones actually doing most of the job here, he's not even trying to figure out who the attacker is!! He did more stuff in the first game *sigh*. Hopefully, he does something cool...scratch that, he does SOMETHING in the remaining episodes... Like Manecleis said, I also don't think Togami is dead, it'd really be too obvious. Only 9 survivors remain, aghh, things are getting darker. I don't think the attacker is a different one each time. Am I the only one suspecting Ryouta? Maybe I'll have to eat my words afterwards if I'm wrong, but the guy's suspicious and if he isn't the traitor then he's REALLY important to the plot still; the dude even met Junko. |

Of course it's just a theory, but being the teacher of a whole class whose students became Ultimate Despair makes her strongly suspicious. Ok, I can understand if you hate the character for the personality or actions in the past but hate her for the last killing game is inconceivable to me. Ruruka has the most unfair NG Code of all those disclosed so far. Her Code is related to all the other members and the game itself. You can tell me that she might have revealed her code to others but that would not work. First, she knows that there is a traitor in the building. Second, if she revealed, a person could kill her with her weakness. And the third and most important detail, the other characters would abandon her there if they could find a way out because more people survive and only one dies. On the other hand, there is the reason that she used and is the safest: Do not tell anyone and have no one escape from the building, even if you have to kill to ensure your survival. Yet, she don't kill Izayoi because of this, she tries to controling him to make him don't opening the door but his NG Code is that he cannot eat food. And there's a third way that she could wait for a rescue, but this would be a horrible way. People could escape, she could be dead while sleeping or someone else killed her while she was awake. Anyway, I think all her actions in Killing Game is justified due to the NG code. It has the worst of all and all of her options involved her dying, so she would have to do everything to survive. If you can think in other way to Ruruka survive, I want to read your toughts. theperceptivefox said: Finally could watch it thanks to spanish subs. People aren't always going to agree on which characters they like and don't like in fiction. There is no right or wrong here. You like her, I don't; what's the problem? Also, in my case, I don't just dislike her for what she did in the latest chapter. I didn't like her from even before. I couldn't empathise with her reasons, she was too selfish in my eyes and totally unfair to Seiko, who considered her a friend. |

I swear I've been waiting for this episode for a while, and I recently caught up to the series, so this will be an interesting discussion for it. It seems like it makes sense why Ruruka had to hide the exit room, because of her Forbidden Action being "anyone getting out of the building" which means if anyone gets out of the room, she will die, thus she has to prevent anyone from getting out for her own safety. While that Forbidden action is rather convenient, its quite understandable through her actions on the manner. However, I can't deny that she was acting shit in this episode for my end. It just seemed like she just cared for herself personally, and I just did not liked that at the slightest. Maybe its understandable but her attitude here is just ugh, not so pleasant. And also, that fucking ending. THE FUCKING ENDING AT THE AFTER ENDING SONG. DON'T TELL ME BYAKUYA JUST DIED THERE. It would be rather too obvious though since Naegi and him talked around last 2 episodes ago. It just feels like too obvious, but then again, if it was the case i wouldn't be that mad, but god damn it man. Now my temptation awaits this week. The Gekkougahara acting Berserk was actually pretty nice, I guess to say I actually liked it, and of course, at this point, its auto due to Monaka deciding to not go into this war since previously she said that she will not go into this, due to the experience she had with Nagito on my end. Besides she wants to become a NEET Lol. Kyouko became great this week and got her own spotlight, which was pretty good considering shes one of my favorite characters of the series. Not gonna lie I was actually impressed as to how she got to the conclusions as usual... except for the Saliva thing ew. xD Also RIP Fedora guy (Kizakura?), he was a good guy and well, he at least kept his promise towards Jin, still... it hurts my guts as hell. |

Like her or not, Ruruka is one of the best characters to appear in the anime. Just as my "not liking Ruruka" is an opinion, your "Ruruka is one the best characters" is an opinion as well. Hye, I don't say that you have to like her, I only say that she's one of the best. I like her because she's manipulative, selfish and a bitch character while you probably hate her because of the same motives. XD |

Kizakura was raising death flags left and right, so I definitely saw his demise coming. Ruruka continues to get more and more despicable every week and I reeeaaaaally hope someone kills her. Preferably Juzo with his bare hands so we can get rid of him, too. Kyoko finally gets a big Ace Attorney moment and it's awesome. I hope she gets more screentime going forward. |

XD Haha, I see xP There are some characters in fiction who are awful that I really like (take Komaeda, for instance, he's not exactly a saint lol), but for some reason I don't like Ruruka. I do love her voice actress, though, she voices Rem in Re:Zero and I love her *^* |

Random thought: I wonder if the attacker gets to choose their target, I don't think it was specified. For all we know, they could be ordered to kill specific people ("Now, who will be your target for the day?" - Monokuma in Ep 2) |

For all we know, they could be ordered to kill specific people ("Now, who will be your target for the day?" - Monokuma in Ep 2) It was rather vague for me when Monokuma said that in the second episode. Because, yeah maybe they were order to kill a certain individual participating in the killings, rather than killing whoever the person wishes. It's pretty much not on their own free will in that case in some sense. If you get what I mean that is... but maybe it can be the other way where it does. |

The scout showed who's the boss this episode, but his death felt quite obvious. Kyouko is getting real serious now. |

Behind the secret door is just a bunch of weapons, not an escape. Ruruka killed Izayoi for nothing! |

Number of possible attacker/traitor is pretty low now. I don't think Danganronpa 1 survivals will be attacker/traitor It can't be Juzo (boxer). It probably not Munakata. Miaya is robot. (She works automatically in this ep. but maybe some one is actually controlling her???) Ruruka is just someone who desperately wants to survive. The only possible one is Ryota Mitarai. Unless alternate attacker theory is real or there will be completely unexpected plot twist coming. It can't be someone else at this point. |

So....was the woman who was fighting along Kizakura in the beggining the mother of Kirigiri? She even has the same name... Also, the scene when Komaru was talking to Naegi....must have been very painful for Asahina to watch, considering what happened in DR Another. Once she commented on it, Naegi realized and was about to mention it when they got interrumped by Gekkogahara. |

Well that explains why Kizakura kept his hand in his pocket the whole anime, too bad his death was too obvious. |

Well, I loved this episode, it just flew by. Fuck Ruruka. When I saw the flashback for Kizakura I knew he be dead also Fuck Ruruka. Good boy Jyuzo, what a man, I see Junko defeated him and it's most likely going to show in despair episode 8, by the way, Fuck Ruruka I understand Ruruka's reasoning this episode but Fuck Ruruka You don't just give everyone a fucking candy if it doesn't go your way you stupid bitch, killed Izayoi for no fucking reason, I'm pretty sure Izayoi would have listened if you just told him your NG code, but no, force feed him a fucking candy you dumb bitch. I hope Jyuzo murders the bitch 5/5 |
