| Wow a great introduction episode, great to see the chars again, pretty sad how everyone is happy now, the irony. Love the OP and ED. Art was vibrant and nice too~ Komaeda's intro was noice. And Chiaki x Hinata ~ So nice watching this and Mirai hen in the same season. |

| of course mikans ridiculous falling panty shots make it back. oh how it feels to have 2 of these in 1 episode. probably means there wont be anymore though cause iirc there were only 2 in the entire game.. im feeling shit will start going down next episode. also why did they use pink blood for this but the mirai hen had red blood? |

It's a bunch of ridiculous kids with ridiculous abilities doing ridiculous things. They've already shown they're throwing physics completely out the window. The characters don't have fur, but what you're watching is Looney Toons, it's Bugs Bunny or Road Runner fighting Wiley Coyote with zany ridiculous antics. It's mean for 8-year-olds or people that are high. |

This is the prequel of the game which intended to be watched AFTER you play the game. The first things that will happen is the Twilight Syndrome Murder Case and after or before that the Izuru Kamukura Project. Everything after that should be DR:Zero stuff + unkown stuff to us. |

| It was great, very nice way to start it off, so happy and great meeting all the characters, Mikan and Chiaki are still the best girls. But let's all face it guys. (Spoilers for the Despair Arc from Danganronpa 2) |

Chisa takes a radical action for Munakata by inducing the coming of Ultimate Despair, which shuts down Hope Academy, leaving the overseas branch which Munakata is on charge of in power, which becomes the HQ of the Future Foundation. Meaning, Munakata becomes top dog. While I am making this theory, I am not making allegations at Munakata in particular. Well first, Mukuro didn't fake her death, when she was hit with the spears in the first game, she definitely died. That much is for certain. She was only screwed even more because her body exploded during the penultimate trial in the 1st game. It is sus that she is their teacher and they all turned. Except Chiaki. Which I've actually just written a theory about on this thread if you want to check it out. It isn't explicitly confirmed that Munakata had those intentions, I think when Kizakura said that, the creator of Danganronpa was just trying to foreshadow the inevitable takeover by Junko. And finally, the expressions that you mentioned, they are most likely there for comedic effect, which is basically what this entire episode was about. |

| Ahh that was a really awesome first ep. So glad that best girl(Chiaki) makes an appearance and is part of the 77th batch(though she's probably gonna die ;-;). That HinaNami scene was amazing <33 I fangirled so hard when Chiaki bumped into Hajime <33 Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this ep. Can't wait for next week~ 5/5 |

As a long time DanganRonpa player i know DR is pretty special but it`s not that hard to google DanganRonpa Wiki or just search on YT a Lets play of the game. Heck you can buy the first 2 games on steam now. Halleluja! |

Despair's arc first episode was great for us game fans because we're just happy to see them having fun. It's not meant to be watched by those who haven't played the games. If you don't want to make the effort to play the games, or watch a playthrough in youtube, then forget about watching this anime and drop it. Everyone here just wants people to get the best possible experience, hence the reason I'm asking you to play the games. I love the anime but I won't play the game or watch the play tho (It's boring). But I enjoy the anime and can still understand the chars and storyline. |
