If I sense any generic vibes in an anime series I'm watching and they become repetitive then I usually drop it within the first couple of episodes...
lame...

When the MC is a man-whore (Kiritsugu), a horny dog (most harems out there) or when he's unbearably stupid.
Another reason is the MC dying (when he's a cool dude).
When there is too much angst and shitty drama about heartbreak.
When it's too much fanservice.

Also, it goes without saying that those with bad artwork are an instant turn-off, I'm not even trying to watch the first episode till the end if they're badly drawn.

usually because I forget about it or the series just doesn't interest me anymore, but they really go hand in hand, lol. Like I got really bored with Dragon Ball Super, even though I've been a DB fan since the beginning- idk, it just didn't interest me anymore after episode 30-ish... :/

I drop an anime if it becomes too boring to bear or too ridiculous to take serious. Or if it just tries too hard to be good.

- too much expectation to some anime, then the studio ruined it
- boring
- too much oversized boobs
- too much bullshit
- NTR & cheating (I don't like these both)
- yaoi (like boku no pico)

I usually try out strange animes all the time, so my drop list is kind of broad.

Usually, when fanservice goes out of control or when a character annoys me too much and there is nothing else to compensate for that major fuck-up, or when some deep shit is going on and I can't really figure it out (or when the producers think some deep shit is going on when there actually isn't), I immediately drop it.

The reason I dropped anime I watched is exactly similar to the others, but here's the reasons:
- Boring
- Nothing that makes me care about the characters or the plot
- Overuse of cliches
- Terrible characters, plot and settings

If the anime doesn't get me within 2 episodes I'm out. I know some series are slow and I probably end up dropping many "good" series that way. But sometimes I'll try with the series and watch episode 3 and still not pick up and end up dropping it. Really tried with Diabolik Lovers but for some reason I just couldn't get into it ... Many times I'll get bored with a series and then drop half way through like I did with Letter Bee. Except I might as well had finish that series because I was at episode 22 when I dropped it.

When it's called Akame ga Kill
Otherwise I'll just leave it for a time and then go back to finish it.

Because I hate the main character, I can't follow a story from the eyes of someone I hate.

3 main reasons
1) When the show turns out to be a stereotypical harem anime done loads of times that it becomes predictable and boring
2) Insanely excessive ecchi...
3) Agonizingly slow pace of progression

I drop shows because they get boring and start to suck. Another reason is because there might be a reboot, I don't really want to watch something twice. Like with the HxH reboot.

Usually to start an anime, it shows great initiation from me.
I gave all animes I tried at least a 5 episode gap (except exceptions)

So it's really hard for me to drop an anime unless it really made me go....
Usually it has something to do with art style, content and that's about it.

It's simple in my case: I don't watch anime that I don't enjoy. If I started something but it turned out too bad for me to finish I just drop or even delete from list if I watched less than 2 episodes (if I added everytihing my dropped would be 100+ now).

If the first three episodes fail to hook me in, I usually just drop the anime. Sometimes people are like "IT GETS GOOD AT EPISODE x", so I may stick around at times like that but if it's not bearable then I just drop the anime whenever I feel.

i use to watch some harem animuuu, got half way into nytholtep or what ever when it don on to me that ive seen this plot before

harem anime in a nutshell:

male protagnist - asshole or indecisive nice guy
female protagnist - clingy or clueless
other characters - stupid as hell, all of them

I try not to drop any anime or manga. There was one unmentionable anime that was on my dropped list, but because I did not want it on my dropped list, I ended up reviving it, and watched through all of it.

If I think an anime should be dropped, I will still watch through it, but give it a really low rating.

I don't try to drop an anime that bores me. Then I would be dropping nearly every anime I watch. If it's boring and meticulous and there is NO CHANCE of it getting better, I will drop it. If it's worthy of a very low rating from the beginning, chances are it won't be any better, so I will most likely drop it. I usually drop after the second episode if I dislike an anime enough. That or I'll force myself to watch it because it's fun to say you watched a terrible anime.
I usually drop for an unoriginal plot, but not all the time. I dropped Endride because it was just soooo boring.

If an anime isn't enjoyable for me, or bad comedy. I usually watch a few episodes before dropping something, except for comedy, and anime where I know what is going to happen.

I dropped DC because it became too repetetive, but that's just an exception.

I drop anime if it's low-quality shit and has too many episodes. I can finish shitty anime if it's short, and I can finish long anime if it's actually good. But if it's both long and shit, then to the trash it goes.
