Although Raku himself said that it doesn't matter who the promise girl is, he'll just go by his feelings, and his feelings are very likely for Chitoge.

My fear is that the revelation about the past will make Chitoge hide her feelings, because she feels like she doesn't have a chance, as the promise girl is Onodera. And hiding her feelings may make it take longer for the love story to be settled.

By this point my bet is that Raku is going to confess to Chitoge, saying that he does not care about who the promise girl is, what he does care is about who he loves, and he loves Chitoge. Chitoge will confess back and that's gonna be it.

What is your prediction guys?

I think it could also explain why Chitoge and Kosaki didn't remember even though Marika and Yui did. The promise probably turned out to be a painful memory for Chitoge and Kosaki.

Chitoge probably didn't want to remember it because originally she was looking forward to make a promise to marry with Raku but another girl ended up making that promise and especially she was the one who first came up with the idea.

As for Kosaki, my guess is she realized later that she did a horrible thing to Chitoge. She probably felt that she stole the promise that was meant for Chitoge and her guilt made her wanting to forget.

Onodera being the promised girl means she has already cemented her win, which was implied in chapter 217 when Raku became decisive with his true love.

The message of False Love is not that "present is more important than the past"_ but that as you grow older, your original feelings will be confronted a lot but resisting fake loves in order to stay true to that pure original love. Chitoge's role as the heroine will fit into the idea, that her false love is just that, false. Whenever I see Raku and Chitoge together, it always seemed more like friendship. Whereas with Onodera and Raku's, they've always liked each other. Raku just remembered that in chapter 217. I trust in Raku's feelings.

If anything, the only twist there will be is if Onodera gives up and make way for Chitoge which is really cheap.

What's the point of "Nisekoi" if Onodera wins over Raku? They both might quite be the lovey-dovey and clumsy cute couples we always cheered on, but that's way too bland for a fictional story to end.
Onodera sure have a great affection towards Raku and vice versa, but that's it, they loved each other since as kid and hid their feelings through middle to senior high school and full point. But damn, Chitoge endured every kind of up and downs with her feelings since 10 years ago. Raku is a gentleman and he knows the girl who truly loves him above all and will endure everything just to make him happy.
Nisekoi, the "False Love" title is not about the status of fake lovers between Raku and Chitoge, but surprisingly it's the long lasted feelings between Raku and Kosaki. I mean, sure, they really love each other, but is that really how it goes?
Psychologically (well, correct me if I'm wrong) a person will become concerned about unfulfilled promises and as time passes even if they forgot about it they will still feel something's missing if the promise was that important and they will always unconsciously get attached with it. My point is...it's true and I'm betting that the feelings between Raku and Kosaki are 101% true, but... it's all because of their promise. If they hadn't made such promise, there's a chance that Raku and Kosaki don't like each other at all! They UNCONSCIOUSLY love each other this long thanks to the "power of promise". All these 10 years, the two became attached to their promise so much that it became a "necessity" (similiar to needs of eating, sleeping...) to keep this kind of affection towards each other and they can't get rid of it. But since they were just kids, got separated and lots have happened with school life, they eventually forgot the details about the promise, but again, actually they unconsciously know about it. Feelings between the two stayed the same all along, they love each other at 100%, nothing changed...and almost nothing developed. Of course everyone remember that they've met for the first time during that summer vacation, right? Yea the first time. It was a love at first sight for the two, they find each other as their ideal types. When they met again in middle high without remembering anything, both of them probably have at least said "wow this guy/girl is really cute, I totally have a crush him/her because he/she's totally my type" to themselves, because they resemble too much to the person they made the promise to (which we know now he/she is actually the one), also because they got attached with exactly that type of guy/girl. Plus, they were kids back then; a huge emotional impact remains impressed into kids minds, even if they'll forget the details, the feeling will permanently remain no matter what happens. So... it's just their brain doing their job to make them still love each other until now. Well yeah, the feelings are true, but they're also driven by a huge psychological impact affecting their brain and the "power of promise", not just "love" alone.
Meanwhile, Chitoge and Raku literally developed their mutual feelings through their time passed together in senior high, not because of a certain promise, nor because they spent time each other when they were kids, because Chitoge didn't make as much of impact as Kosaki to Raku back then and didn't impress much of feelings to him. Chitoge made Raku to love her from almost ZERO. If Raku hadn't made the promise with Kosaki, I'm pretty certain that he can easily throw away her status as "crush" (because it gets overwhelmed by the affections of Chitoge) and he wouldn't be as indecisive as he was in chapters prior to 217; eventually Kosaki would end up the same fate as Marika and Yui.

Probably? It's just my theory though, nobody knows...we'll see sooner or later. We'll just have to wait, though I would still get pissed and ultra sad if RakuxKosaki ship will sink and they don't get married T^T

I always thought Chitoge was the promised girl.
They didn’t remember, they couldn’t find out if she was. They started hating each other, but little by little they started to have feelings. And in the end I thought it was going to be “I love you now, but oh! You are the girl I made a promise with, too!” HAPPY END – A lot of kids on the way…
It’s not that I hate the idea, the falling in love from “zero”, but the idea of “nisekoi” as “false love” I had was that behind that “false” there was “fate”, hating each other, but there was that promise, with that in the past and now they grow to like/love each other, not once but twice.
Buuuuuuut well. From those past scenes “like is not love”… I did read the raw, I can’t anyway… but I belive in “there’s no ‘dai’ in that ‘suki’” or even “ai”. And Raku did many, many times need to confirm that the one he like was Onodera.
I don’t like the idea of ending (don’t throw me thing plz) but it has to.
