This series so far didn't disappointed me, the first episode seem not really good but it's getting better, but the rating is still nothing but drop, i remember the first episode got 6.9, now drop down to 6.45, if it's just rated by some salty kids who can't watch more than 2 episode, why it can be happened, srl, this anime deserve a 7.x or even 7.5x rating. Can't understand @@

because most people don't want to watch a show that has a lot of talk and no action. + the art somewhat makes people feel off about it

Do you mean the ratings here on MAL? Cause those pretty much mean nothing.

I think it's still too soon to give the anime a rating, but since 90% of the feedback the show is getting is negative, about how the pacing is horribly rushed and how the animation is bad, I'm not surprised by a low rating.

Lots of talk = people don't like to watch, so Monogatari series: second season shouldn't be #23 :P, the pacing is really good compare to such lagre material from the original franchise. They skipped most of the investigation part because it's pretty boring and time-consuming tho. If anything make it bad it should be the animation, but people don't judge an anime by just the animation right.....

, where is that 90% negative feedback, i checked the review and episode discussion, i think 50/50 is the worst. I don't want to believe in MAL rating but don't want to waste time to bad anime either, what can i do :(

This anime is pure fan service for those who played the game and I think that is a small part of MAL's users. This adaptation doesn't stand on its own, has basic animation (lot of people care about this), and even worse character design compared to the game which is really a bad thing. Instead of doing an anime that is more fluent and fits better this medium they chose to be more faithful betting everything on the franchise fanbase.

Since I played the game I like it, but It is not that good.

The art and animation are so poorly done it's painful to look at. And there's absolutely no intrigue whatsoever since they decided to show the guilty side from the start of the case.

That's only for the first two cases I believe. Besides, the killer have always been obvious in the Ace Attorney games.

The only do that in the first two cases, since they are the "Tutorial" and "Easy" cases respectively

The series is pretty shit, the Dub makes it slightly better but it’s still only a 6.5/10 dubbed and a 4/10 subbed, overall a pretty bad series

I think some people might’ve been angry that the story follows the exact same beats as the game, but personally that is what I expected... So far, I’m liking the show.

It just wasn't that good.

As a anime viewer expecting a anime about the court of law... I don't see how the killer being obvious matters at all.
It's not a detective show. It's a courtroom show. Good or bad, the law of court doesn't really determine guilt. It's to convince the jury of guilt or lack of guilt. It may seem the same, but it's not

The court room is about argumentation rather than pure evidence. Evidence is only used to strengthen an argument. The prosecution would not use evidence that hurts their case. Same goes for the defense.
Even if the defense lawyer KNOWS his client is wrong, they are legally bound to defend him/her.

For me this is why I didn't bother passed the 1st episode. The title and description made me think it was a court case not a investigation. The investigation should of been done prior to the court hearing.

for anyone interested in this series...please do yourself a favor and play the games instead. it’s a lot more fun to solve the mysteries yourself.

I like it as an Ace Attorney fan. Most of the reviews are people who played the games and don't like the pacing (it does suck ngl). Idk why everyone hates the animation tho..it's pretty nice and has kinda a comfy feel to it.

In the games, it's a mix of courtroom and investigations.

Basically the gist is, in Japan (or USA in localisation), the court system is too overworked and so now, each trial must end within 3 days.

And the défense lawyer does a lot of investigation at least phoenix Wright does... Lol

Even in courtroom drama TV show you see this. Take for example Bull, in between days of court they are always looking for more info just in case they need it
