All those murders do play a part and is way better written than a series revolved around perverted actions (who would even argue this?)

Fleshing out the characters and building up future plot points is nothing right? okay.
So you would keep doing the webnovel and turn down a big offer for a legit novel? XD atleast overlord improved upon the wn unlike mt.

No it isn't those massacres are just a way to for floor guardians and ainz to show off how powerful they are. All and all, its just senseless. A lazy way to go about solving a crisis, and nothing more of that. Don't even compare MT, whose characters goes about solving various problems tactfully, to Overkill.

MT got a big offer for a legit novel as well, and even after that the author was still committed in finishing up the webnovel in its entirety. In fact, as proof of how well planned his works was, the lightnovel had very little changes from the webnovel, aside from the side stories. Whereas in Overlord the difference in WN and LN is quiet significant. It felt like the WN for Overlord was just a rough draft, in other words, half ass. With all the changes it is obvious the author hadn't thought things through properly before starting the series. 2012- now and only 9 volumes. This is just sad.

Something tells me you haven't even read MT if all you took from it was "how the series revolved around perverted actions" With this, its pretty much confirmed that you had never read MT, and that it is pointless conversing with you.

He hasn't even read the novels, his brain can't process quality material compared to edgy teenage angst shit tier LNs.

I mean I guess the masses and angsty teens prefer senesless gore and shallow OP MCs with slave side characters that serve nothing to the overall plot (Overlord doesn't even fucking have one lmao).

Ains is a gore infested glorified version of Kirito, both are OP, shallow and have zero conflicts.

Albedo is just a fanservice goon and the rest of the "guardians" serve nothing to the overall story other than praising Ains 24/7 for being "edgy" and "brutal."

Plebs can't tell the difference in quality, if they could how can someone with half a brain that has read both series even argue that Overlord is better than MT lmao.

I love both light novels.
Though I can understand the criticism Overlord to an extent.
I'm still in Volume 5 but the Guardians are at least being foreshadowed to stop being a one dimensional circle jerk for Ainz in the future and develop as characters so I'm looking forward to it.
Hope I don't get disappointed and it was a false alarm.
Now back to reading Overlord.

So ugh i read the whole thing aand yeah im quite surprised retards (excuse me for the word - but theres no other way to describe you) like ichii_1 states it like that. In reality where in the ****-ing world did u see Ainz get a character development?
Like all in all everything comes down to killing and thats that. Though he really is a average salesman after coming to the current world only one question remains : How did he change? like LOL
Anyway MT is much better than Overlord (this is IMO) because everything is explained from the POV of the characters, they develop, mature, find things worthy to protect, go through pain and after all that they dont give up, support each other.
And im pretty sure that you didnt read the damn LN, because what happened to ainz? Kill and get praised by the guardians. Voila, end of story

It's called "characterization", not that you'd understand what that means.

Flesh out the characters, buildup the world and events, overlord is nowhere near over and if you pay attention the things that happen are all connected in some way and will come back in some form in the future.

It's funny to see that some people think Rudi is only a pervert. Well he is, but only in a comical goal. Yet, he is a funny AND interesting character. And not being able to see how he grew up and became a fine adult, clearly shows that these people either didn't read the WN or are still too immature...

For Overlord, if the author had decided to make him struggle with his own contradictions (a moral normal human being like you and me vs his overlord personality), it would be much more interesting. We could see a real character development. I don't mind Ainz being a cruel being : he was made like that. It's just it's a shame the author didn't decide to get him a deeper personality. He is "just" a bad guy, someone you can't relate. There a moments when he is funny when he tried to contain his servants or tried to look cool. Thanks to that, I could read the first volumes. However, that's all.

LOL, you do realise that in MT the same actually happens? everything connected? lol and "characterization" ? I think you should stop googling words and putting them in a "cute" manner. But not that you'd understand. right?
Anyway no point in arguing. If you want, the the intellect level is so wide, that Ainz and some random plebs difference in strength is nothing when compared to it.

I think an adaption would be alright if they manage two cours and end it around where volume 6 ends. But I think the best way to adapt MT is to adapt it into a movie series.
