Waking up at night and thinking it's morning

Have you ever woken up at night and gone through your usual routine because you thought it was early in the morning? I'm sure night-shift workers aren't the only people who have gone through this. (Could happen to alcoholics too.)

I took a nap once around 6 PM one time because I wanted to be well-rested for my night shift job. I ended up sleeping for more than an hour and took a shower before I realized it was nighttime. Third shift can mess up your schedule, even for someone who was used to staying up until 12 or 1 AM.

Not in that particular context, but waking up in the middle of the night is pretty amazing because you realise you get to sleep more. :D

All the time, but not because of my job.
*Wakes up and sees dim sunlight*
"Too early"
*Goes back to sleep*
Be thankful for the wisdom granted to you.

Only when I forget about DST. That's only one hour but it still counts.

That's happened to me, it's fun looking at the time and seeing it's 8, but then having to try figure out if it's 8 am or 8 pm.

No. But my niece last month. She got dressed and left the house and went to the bus stop at four in the morning and mom had to call her to come back. She actually thought my niece was sleepwalking.

*Waking up, thinks it's 7AM*

"Oh crap schoo---"

*It's 4AM*

Thank the sleep gods. Best feeling ever.

Sweet words are not always true. True words are not always sweet. But no matter what words can say, actions will always tell the truth.

It happened to me a few times during the summer break. I wake up at around 7 pm and all the lights are on so I assume it's the morning. This is during the summer so the sun is still out for another 1-2 hours.

I had, but that was long ago. Now that I go to sleep somewhere around 3-4 A.M., that never happens.
