| So my girl wants to watch my anime with me, but I am currently watching Bakemonogatari which I kinda know she won't like. I need a romance anime with a great plot with not too much "plot", if you get what im throwing. I need to also be awake during it, so make it a good one please. | Nodame Cantabile would be my first suggestion unless one of you is allergic to classical music. Others School Rumble - Zany high-school hijinks where everyone is attracted to someone who is attracted to someone else. Akagami no Shirayuki-hime or Kamisama Hajimemashita for good shoujo romances. Saiunkoku Monogatari is an excellent show, but it's 39 episodes long. Might be a bit much starting out. Chi's Sweet Home is cute and fun, with three-minute episodes. Chihayafuru is a really strong show about an obscure subject, high-school kids playing a card game called karuta. Two seasons of 25 episodes each. The romance is well below the surface though. Kiseijuu ("Parasyte") is a sci-fi thriller with romance. Too bad the girl is such a weak character though. Rokka no Yuusha is a "locked room" mystery about a group of people with powers. Romance in the later episodes. Sakamichi no Apollon - High-schoolers become jazz aficionados during the mid-1960s. Some romance. Seirei no Moribito - Action, slice-of-life, subtle romantic themes; one of the best heroines in all of anime. +Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun |
