| No. Sometimes I think it's interesting to see what the hype is about. Unless I don't like the topic. But I would also watch non mainstream anime if the topic interests me. Like most people said already it comes down to two things. 1. Don't care if anime is mainstream or not as long as the topic is interesting 2. Watching anime and making a list about it is probably not cool in the first place |

| I try to watch all mainstream (and likely-to-become-mainstream) anime that look like I might like them, just so that I could talk about them when needed. I've dropped Bleach, Death Note, Naruto and a few others, but I watched enough of them to know what they are. I've dropped Shingeki no Kyoujin after 1 episode and One Piece after ~3 episodes, because they were just not to my liking. I've watched SAO and Kancolle to the end, and want more. | Its popularity, its rate, its age... doesn't change the fact it's good/shitty. I watch/read things I find interesting (summaries, reviews...). Sometimes, I don't follow this rule because we need to stay updated, we can't properly judge things we haven't watched/read. |
