Is there a subject in school you used to despise but now love?
What about the other way around?
Explain why your opinion changed.

history and english. Used to hate them but now I love them.

My opinion changed because I was introduced to how expansive and deep these subjects can be.

I guess, religion. Wasn't interesting enough in school for me to care at all, but now that I've read up on actually interesting theories, philosophies and stories/scenarios, it's fun.

The reverse case has happened a lot more though, I used to love French but we switched teachers which made it boring as all hell. Used to like math too, until I had to put in effort to understand. :P

I realized math is cool when I watched Aronofosky's Pi.

School makes everything seem boring because school just gives us a pathetic oversimplication of things. Knowleedge is thrilling. Each piece of knowledge only points to what more can be discovered.

School doesn't give you that.

English. I grew up a bit.

Now I can find joy in learning almost anything.

Physics, history and Arabic. Absolutely hated them while in school, now I really enjoy learning about all three in my free time. I've also been somewhat interested in philosophy recently, though I despised it in high school.

Also, definitely this. Now that I'm no longer a student, I find pleasure in learning about nearly any subject. It's a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend the evening after a long day at work.

Only reason I hated it was because there was soooo much information to memorize, and a sucky memory doesn't make things any better ;~;

I hated English, but my middle school teacher was so great she read and remembered every essay we wrote, word by word. We asked her why she does that unlike other teachers who don't and she said our hard work are on these papers and it would be such a waste not to read them.

Guess that makes sense, but then ya don't hate the subject itself ya' hate the specific classes. When I'm done with all dis fake education after I get some degree I'ma grab a world history textbook and get r3al educated.

In the end it's all placebo... if you genuinely want to learn, you'll learn things a lot more easily.

I had to study history since first grade of elementary and I hated it. Around 4th grade my grandmother started talking a lot about her past, I started reading a lot of historical books and history slowly became my favorite subject. I guess what made me love history was my grandmother's stories. Studying history in school is boring, but hearing stories about what it was like many decades ago makes it much more entertaining.

No offense to history teachers but this is a good example of the fact that history can be learned outside of schools.

Math and language, you have to teach for sure. Science is also important. Plus the fact that you can`t do most of the experiment unless you have a laboratory in your house.

History is important but I think it is the least important out of all the subjects being taught in school.

You didn't learn history. You memorized details.

Learning history is buying 5 books on the certain period, reading them all and realizing you know nothing and then buying 10 more history books.

I liked English in elementary school when they mostly taught grammar and spelling. Then they added essays and book reports which made it living hell.
