| Ah yes, Galaxy express 999 was my first ANIME, I was six years old and my dad (an artsy type) wanted me exposed to other cultures. Technically I knew about anime from a series of Robotech books on tape that my parents got me when I was 3 or 4 but i just thought it was a good story. I was pretty much hooked from the beginning but being 6 in a time before the internet was everywhere my options were almost nil. This was the late 1980's mind you, anime was still hard to come by unless you knew where to look, and i didn't. In desperation i learned spanish so I could watch the old run of Dragonball on Telemundo. |

Of course I don't wont to write about anime which were easy to find in polish TV in the early '90, like "Yattaman" or "Tosho Daimos" :D Because it's my first post in this forum, I want to say "Hello" to every anime fan in the world! | Uh, it was prolly something along the lines of DBZ, as far as actually watching it anyway, before that I always kinda slagged off Anime. It was so long ago :F First series I saw to completion was Martian Successor Nadesico. |
| For me, it was Sailor Moon first with the original Dragon Ball and Robotech not too much longer after that. |
