Got very emotionally involved with this episode, great job all round. I like both Diane and King a lot more now.
Re: poll: Really, Hendrickson? I understand everyone else, but Hendrickson? Not that I don't like the guy, but I'm just kind of surprised to see him in 4th.
"Little" Diana was so damn cute. It is a shame she doesn't remember King. Though, it is hard to tell how many years ago that was.
The conclusion to Helbram was pretty interesting. He had definitely gone off the deep end. Not that I blame him for losing it. I couldn't imagine how many humans he has killed, though. All of that killing couldn't have been good for his already unstable mind.
I agree, Sandi. I also like Diana and King much more now than I did before.
I definitely wouldn't have guessed King being the #1 character, though I do quite like him. However, Ban ranked highly is definitely no surprise to me.
Nice action this episode, but I noticed some inconsistencies like Diana having the whole in her chest, then a shot without the hole, then it's there again, but whatever.
I agree with Sandy that it's more or less the first time I really care about Diana and it was nice to have two of the holy knights come to her aid at the end.
Episode 18
I really like the twist with Helbram being a fairy. It makes so much sense since he could also transform like King and it explains why they know each other too. Can't wait for the flashback next episode.
I'd like to know more about the Dreyfus vs Gowther fight, they didn't really explain how Dreyfus managed to escape the nightmare or anything really. King was awesome though.
Episode 19
[spoiler]
The flashback and revelation about King's 'sin' was very interesting and tragic. I hope Diane remembers their past together at some point.
And with all the epic fights and stuff these past episode I keep forgetting about Arthur, but I'm still very curious to find out more about him. For now it seems like Meliodas vs Hendricksen though, which is probably gonna be awesome as well.
Well, this series is definitely keeping me on my toes. I didn't expect Gilthunder to actually be cursed and flop sides mid-battle. I did, however, figure that the cloaked individual was Merlin. She still made a nice entrance and I look forward to the showdown between sorceresses. Lots of action this episode.
Ep 20

Damn the animation budget this episode was insane. I'm surprised A-1 has this much funding considering they are doing like 5 other shows this season. Aldnoah Zero s2, Saenai Heroine, Cinderella Girls, Magic Kato and KimiUso all A-1 lol. I wonder if they just have a ridiculous amount of staff or they are just being really overworked. I wouldn't be surprised if it it was the latter considering Japanese work ethic.

Ep 21
[spoiler]
I hope everyone is starting to see why Hendrickson was rated so highly in the popularity contest now. Some more cool fights, nothing else to say without getting into spoilers.

Hmm. A slight explanation for Meliodas' powers, though for me it's raised more questions lol. Anyway, an enjoyable action-packed episode. I really liked Ban throughout >3<
The OP has grown on me, I quite like it now. The color scheme kind of hides some of the brutality. For example, the demon blood going out of control and transforming the knights into demons/monsters. Good episode with some nice action.
Episode 22
Well, I already suspected that Meliodas had demon blood coursing through his veins, so this episode didn't answer much in that regard :P. Still, the episode was pretty good. Dreyfus melting away was pretty crazy. Hendrickson is, indeed, much more fun to watch than I initially thought. Though, he seems a bit too cocky with a power he doesn't fully understand. Got a feeling Meliodas is going to get the better of him in the end.
Ep 22
[spoiler]
Yep pretty much Hendrickson showing off his badassery and explanation for Meliodas' power (although it was pretty obvious already).

Nooooooo! Pork Bowl, I mean, Hawk-chan!!! Did not expect him to be killed off. Hendrickson's grey demon form is badass. He was even more badass this episode than last. Also, did not expect Elizabeth to have that crazy druid power. I thought for a second she had turned into a god and was going to bring everyone back from the dead as well. Meliodas healed up packs quite the punch himself, literally. Should be a great final episode and I look forward to it.
Ep 23-24
[spoiler]
Well as you guys saw pretty much everyone got healed/revived in the end. Even Veronica lol. Hendrickson got away though. I know this series was never meant to serious, but I think atleast some characters should actually face permanent death. Hawk coming back was kind of expected as hes the main mascot and everything. Ban is really great, but to be completely honest I wasn't extremely fond of most of the characters. Meliodas himself is very typical of your average idealistic shonen protagonist. Really this show is filled with some cliche shonen tropes. Regardless I still found this a lot of fun, I love me some medieval fantasy action. The animation was also pretty good for the most part. so 6/10. I highly suggest anyone who likes this try out Kongou Banchou. Another work by the original author. It's kind of the same thing, but set in modern times and deals with delinquent culture. It actually reminds me a lot of Jojo as it is more reminiscent of the 80's Fist of the North Star inspired shonen.

Intense episode and Gilthunder switching sides like that was a neat twist. I'm still not sure what exactly happened, but Meliodas seemed to have exterminated some alien mid-air or something.
The Merlin revelation wasn't that unexpected, but it's still nice to see another member make their official appearance. I'm just wondering where this will go from now, Hendricksen seemed like the big bad of this show and now Gilthunder is easily handling him. Maybe the demon clan will get resurrected or something like that.
Episode 21
Damn this show is too exciting. The stuff with Ban and that goddess clan person was very intriguing and I had to think about it even after they changed scene again. Hendricksen made a badass return and the tides have completely changed once again. And the episode ends with a potential Ban vs Meliodas, now being serious and not jsut for fun. Can't wait for the next episode.
Episode 22
The Ban vs Meliodas thing sure got resolved quickly considering how determined Ban was a minute ago, but I guess it was to be expected. That healing spell he suddenly pulled out of his ass was kind of an ass-pull but I didn't really care. Hendricksen going all out and melting Dreyfus like that was awesome, but as Yoshi said he seems too cocky and if we're to trust Meliodas he doesn't completely understand his power yet. I'm hoping for some more explanations about the demon clan and Hendricksen's experiments next episode.
Episode 23
Hendricksen got another power-up and pretty much bashed the shit out of everyone, but Elizabeth managed to heal them in the last minute. Even though her having some kind of special powers was foreshadowed it still felt like an asspull, but then again rarely have asspulls been as fun as in this series :>.
Looking forward to the finale, although I'm already sad it's gonna end with so many questions still unanswered :(.
Episode 24
[spoiler]
From what I can tell only Hawk was 'revived', the rest were just healed from injury and I can't help but feel that there's more to it than just unexplained randomness, but as he said 'it's a mystery' for now ^^.
Anyway, this was enormously fun to watch and I would really, really love to get another season for this. So many unanswered questions about the sins themselves, about the 4 clans and the demons they kept mentioning, about arthur and camelot, about 10 years ago, about that goddess underneath the castle (I found it weird they didn't research that at all) etc... This really did everything right that a battle shounen needs to do, it only could have been a bit slower-paced and of course be longer in general. From what I can gather I think the next step is to expand the story to outside the borders of Britannia since they mentioned going to where arthur came from, the mystery bird flew south and the map at the beginning has some huge area south of Britannia. Plus it's a commonly used way to one-up the story in battle shounen (Magi, HxH, FMA for example).
Overall this was definitely one of the continuously most enjoyable series from the last 2 seasons (only rivaled by shirobako), especially the beginning and the end. 9/10 from me and I pray for another season!
Hawk's revival reminded me of a Phoenix. Since I looked at it like that, I actually thought it was pretty cool and it didn't bother me. I did, however, have a bit of an issue with pretty much everyone coming back to life/getting healed/etc. Veronica and some of the new gen Holy Knights especially, but oh well. I wasn't big on this final episode, but I was glad to see Meliodas go pick up Elizabeth right at the end. Plus, Merlin sticking with the party as well. I take it the mystery bird was Hendrickson's demon flying away?
I thought this series was very fun, exciting, with some quality moments. I really like the characters, though Meliodas is my least favorite of the sins. Maybe that will change once we get to learn more about him. Elizabeth is pretty cliche, but I really like her design and her seiyuu. Actually, I liked pretty much all of the character designs. The color palette was a bit too cheery and colorful for some of the "darker" moments, but it was fine for the rest of the time. Hendrickson turned out to be a much better villain than I thought he would be. The battles were always pretty entertaining and I enjoyed the series from start to finish. I has miles to go before it reaches Hunter x Hunter's level, but I'd love another season of this. I gave it a mid 8/10 (85%)
My main question is WHERE WAS THIS SOUNDTRACK IN PREVIOUS EPISODES EH
Great stuff. Dying to know more about Hawk and Hawk-mama. Would love a second season. Honestly, if I hadn't been so enormously pissed off at Meliodas through a large portion of the first half, I may well have given a 9/10, but I think I'll settle for a high 8/10 this time ^^ Love the characters (I don't even dislike Meliodas any more lol), loved the battle shounen tropes... Yeah, this was a lot of fun in the end.
