I didn't test the mod yet (lack of players, time, and me wanting to finish VN), however some over at BL did, and said that it does work, altough some abilities are a little imba atm. Turn speed gives birth to hero abilities that can slow down your turn speed giving it more depth and creativity. If you're referring to casting points(time required before casting the actual spell) Or auto attack animations (some take long , some very short till the auto attack lands) that aint limitations from the engine,its working as intended and offers balance to heroes. Im assuming the attacking enemy heroes that are running is when u hit them ,then run along them till your auto attack cooldown is ready instead of just staring at them running right? |

No, I don't remember the details anymore, but I think it was a way to interrupt the after autoattack animation in order to start running a bit faster. Something like hitting stop right after the autoattack, which cancels the animation so if you do it fast enough it gives you a speed boost. When the original DotA was made these things couldn't be changed, they were fixed for each unit model. I'd know, I've played around in WC3 editor a lot. So they had to balance it all with that in mind. I always expected it would be changed with a new engine. And now it's a "feature". |

| Ive never heard of pressing s after auto attack. Dota 2 has actually the most solid auto attack mechanics out of any moba,because depending on your hero having a very fast auto attack animation compared to a slower one can make him overpowered. For instance lina,she has a range of 700 or 750 i dont remember the exact number,average is 600,if she didnt have that ridiculously long buildup to the actual hit shed be op as fuck in lane. my point is people dont play dota 2 because the learning curve is much slower than other games,but if you dont give up you have a really rewarding and satisfying game. you have a pool of like 100 heroes from which at least 60 of them have completely different playstyles and strategies and mechanics,league of legends has nothing close to that,neither does smite. In fact league of legends is faceroll once you learn what each role does,then youre good to go with any champion. |
