So, just as the title says... I've just finished episode 10 of Ergo Proxy, thought i would love it but so far its been like REALLY slow paced and kind of boring.
So far id give it a 5/10.
Should i keep watching this til the end or drop it?

If you think its boring the anime is certainly not for you. Ergo Proxy is best watched when you aren't bored by it for sure.

It ends great though.

The first half was the best part imo. If I'm not mistaken you're coming up on the infamous filler eps, so if you think it's boring now...The finish is meh/ok. This isn't One Piece or Logh, so I'd say just watch the rest.

Yeah i guess, but there isent like any dramatic change in the next episodes that would make it worth finishing is it?

Another one of these threads in the wrongly posted section, but, actually haven't seen it yet. What's people's opinions of it?

Depends on what you expect from "dramatic". I wanted the answers to the mysteries, so there was plenty to pull me over the finish line.

If you find the first 10 episodes boring then no, you're not going to enjoy the rest. It doesn't pick up the pace until the ending and you probably won't understand much of it if you don't pay attention to some of the filler episodes on the way there. I enjoyed watching it but it's not for everyone.

And each anime has their own forum that you can findhere or on the page of the anime.

I heard about this anime. While I haven't seen it I think if after 10 episodes it's time to drop.

Do be sure to pick up Cross Ange now, you will not regret the greatest decision so you are welcome in advance.

Second half of Ergo Proxy is the best half.
I thought it was a jumbled mess from trying to do too much, still was quite good though because at least it tried to break the mold and succeeded at several of the things it tired to do.

It's one of those shows that appeal to only some people
It's extremely slow but if you get into it, it's hard to stop watching because you want to know the outcome

If you can't find yourself getting into it, I'd say drop it because it's not for everyone

There are shows who try to be way too smart for their own good.Ergo Proxy is a fine example of that.I dont know if Manglobe wanted to create the second coming of Ghost the the Shell / Serial experiments Lain, but when EP fails to deliver , GitS and Lain do that 110%.A lot of people on the internet consider EP to be superior to every other cyberpunk anime, which for me is absurd.

Tried to be "way too smart for their own good"? If that's how you felt after you have watched a couple of episodes then I'm inclined to say this series wasn't trying to be superior at all, though I might assume of you FEELING UNCONSCIOUSLY INFERIOR towards it. Perhaps, the ending was still murky for you? Was it too complex?

Humbly speaking, most of those that cannot appreciate this series are not really the one you will be labeling as unintelligible folks (because there's no such thing as unintelligent), more like they are those who are having a fast pace in their life, specifically their mental cognition and awareness. They are those people who finds it "weird" to contemplate on a number of things that are very much trivial or metaphysical in nature. However, if you really get one of the messages this treasure trove has presented upon you, you will find that THIS SHOW IS NOT ABOUT INTELLIGENCE. Just no. It's more like the world of philosophy - metaphysics, ontology, epistemology, history and so on.

Should I need to ask you further of this, WHEN DESCARTES WROTE THE FIRST PART OF MEDITATIONS, DO YOU THINK HE IS TRYING TO BE INTELLIGENT OR SMART in any way? Because, similar to the path of doubt that Descartes introduced, is how I find the character of Vincent Law very refreshing, enigmatic, and contemplative in nature. And also, cyberpunk or futurama does not depict intelligence, it is more like a progressive idea of change, development, or progress, whatever you want to call it.

Being intelligent or smart is out of question when it comes to this series (Ergo Proxy).

I dropoed watching it halfway mark. It started great but then it quickly became boring and complex.I will never say it's bad, but not an anime for everyone.
