| Conan is fucking long and I've heard the plot doesn't advance too much. With long series I find they're much easier to watch if the episodes tie into each other like in one piece etc. Anyway I was wondering if Conan has arcs and stuff because if the episodes are pretty much all one offs then I don't think I could watch it. | 90% of it is episodic mysteries and about 10% of those have important plot/character/etc information. But I wouldn't suggest skipping all the episodic mysteries and going for the plot related episodes. You're supposed to watch anything and it's made so that you can watch any amount of episodes you want at a time. |

Cheers nerd brethren There's one main arc which slowly progresses thruout the series, while also having a mix of smaller arcs and one offs, the story's pretty well connected imo |

| It's even longer than One Piece and yeah it does have arcs, most are episodic, some are dual. About 1/3 is mystery thriller but the rest is slice of life, drama and romance hence the length with a ton of fillers. I think this would help: https://www.xerblade.com/p/detective-conan-important-episode-list.html?m=0 With that you can cut at least 200 eps and can jump to whichever you want. The main plot eps are nigh masterpiece imo and the ones with char development are pretty good too. The cast of characters is the best thing about it for me. |

Pass on it. It’s on a kids tv program block, with other kid type shows. Nothing is super bad, yes there are murders but are Disney level. Zero gore, zero romantic themes, unless it’s comical. Zero deep thoughts or anything to make think for a while. There is zero interest to end a show that has been on the air for the last 20 years on a kid program block, because it’s a cash cow. |
