I really enjoy the second season, the story is more developed and the characters have more depth. I'm on episode 7, and to be honest I am finding myself secretly rooting for Rui and Makino right now.

For some reason I didn't really like the idea of Rui hanging with Makino so much this time. When I was watching the first season I was rooting for them but now I was on Doumyoji's side. It was nice season though, I wish we'd get 3rd season too 8DD

I finished watching it three weeks ago. It was great! A lot of drama in the second season than in the first. The ending could have been better, but it all wrapped up nicely.

maybe a wedding dress... o_o

she never gets to dress up and the boys always look so slick.

i loved everything about this series. maybe if they stretch the storyline they can squeeze out a 3rd season. >_<

I'm happy with two seasons. I can't think any good reason why they should make a third season, it would only ruin the drama.

Now that I think about it, a 3rd season might not be bad considering if they only show the happy and funny times of Doumyouji and Tsukushi life's after marriage. And the rest of the episodes they should concentrate on other F4 member's lives like Rui, Akira, and Soujiroh. I still want to know if Soujiroh and Yuki will ever hook up, and I want to see Rui finds love and finally be happy.

Hm... I can't really imagine how Season 3 would be like if there was one.

Is this so good like the first season? I fell in love in Hana Yori Dango when I was watching the first season, so I hope the second season is great as first season.

nono, the 2nd season was actually very well done... i never follow running dramas, but this one was one of the rare dramas i followed. i hated waiting for new eps but i loved them all the more when i got them ^_^

i didn't read any of the posts in this topic (afraid of spoilers) but i just started on this series (i was hooked to the first season) and i'm loving it so far...the first episode was amazing...i'm wondering who this shigeru girl is, but it looks like things are gonna get interesting real soon... :D and poor makino, right after she confesses and lets her true feelings for domyoji out, she has to see him marry another girl? brutal...

this kinda reminds me of goong as well...when i watched that series, i couldn't decide who should get the girl (shin or yul?) and now i can't decide between domyoji or rui...domyoji changed for the better thanks to makino, but rui ALWAYS comes and saves her when she needs him...tough choice... :(

lol...yeah, i hate domyoji's mom A LOT...not as much as i hate those three girls who always pick on makino (cause their laughs are horrendous), but she is pretty damn annoying and seems pretty heartless so far...

best part about the birthday party was shigeru though...i love her...if i were domyoji, i would pick shigeru over makino any day of the week...

I just finished season 2 a couple of minutes ago. <3 It was absolutely amazing.

This was the first thing I've watched where I wouldn't've minded if the main character ended up with someone other than the person I was rooting for. When I first started watching season 1, I wanted her to be with Rui, but I changed my mind a couple of episodes in.

You know, I really didn't expect the sequel to be as good as it was. I was very pleasantly surprised. :D And I'm tempted to just rewatch the series now. As for Goong, I've heard a couple of people talk about it and it looks really good. I've never watched a korean drama before (well, I've hardly watched any dramas at all ... until very recently I was strictly anime but now I think I'm addicted to dramas x_x) but I think that'll have to change soon.

you know, there's a place for people with that disease known as "AddictedToAsianDramas-itis"...you should totally join the asian drama addicts club...we even offer support for withdrawal symptoms when you go on without watching dramas for a while! you should check out goong too...it's got a hana yori dango "feel" to it although it's a little more slow paced...

HYD drama has a way better plot than the anime!! xD

I think season 2 was wrapped up pretty nicely.. just that if they could do a movie for their wedding, that would be great! I wanna see makino dress up in a wedding gown!

^I agree, HYD the live-action is much better than the manga + anime. I tried to read the manga and it was miserable, too many annoying dramas that dragged and dragged.

When I compared the drama with the anime, the anime was a total flop. All they ever did was fly away to some vacation spot or go on a cruise, skipping classes in the process like it's such a normal thing to do. Not very realistic and practically nothing was resolved in the end. They just sail away instead.

I'm not too sure, I've only watched the anime. It doesn't matter to me if it follows the manga because I would still prefer the live action drama. The essence of the storyline was unfolded in a much better way imo. perhaps the losing memory part was kinda cliche but it did work out well when they reenact the lift scene. ^.^

this drama was the BEST!
It left you on edge the whole time and the ending was just perfect.

I absolutely, totally fell in love with most (if not all) of the characters. In the second season, I would have liked seeing Tsukushi wearing something really nice but the fact that she was in her school clothes was alright. I felt kind of sorry for Rui but I can't stop loving the DomyouhiXTsukushi relationship. One of my favourite characters HAS to be Domyouji! To be honest I just adored this drama! Is there really a movie? If there is I think I may die of happiness!!!!!

my favorite JDrama of all time! Beats any I have seen prior and nothing after can beat it! I am rewatchign HYD2 right mow (after rewatching HYD) and still love the charm of this show! I am at the episode where Susumu confesses his love to the girl from the cram school! It's such a cute ep.

I was also a fan of the manga and anime and loved how they interpreted the story! The actors were the perfect fit for the roles they played and the chemistry between Inoue Mao and Matsumoto Jun was perfect for the Makino/Domyoji pair.
