Ah, modesty. The sign of a real artist. ;)

But both you and Sasaki did so well, so it was difficult for me to choose. Dx

I frickin hate this kind of sucking up. It's obvious fawn. ScrumYummy is a great artist, but that drawing is joke material. Voting for it is pure unfairness towards the other competitors.

I can't see unfairness into Scrums entry...

Art Jam hat 2 goals: 1. Make Art and 2. Have Fun! (stated in the club description)
I think Jokes are part of having fun while the image has something to do with art and the theme insanity.

Maybe you have to rethink what this is all about...

EDIT: I'm getting crazy watching our avatares spin @_@

Sucking up? That's kind of insulting. In my opinion, it fits the theme of 'Insanity' best, which is what this contest is about really.

All our entries are jokes :) that's what's so fun, and generally the jokes win.

Woah shit, Scrum's actually gonna win :'D
I should have voted for Talon. But oh well, competition still seems pretty tight, so nevermind.

I don't think so Tim. It doesn't have to require a lot of technical skill or have a lot of complexity to be good art. I totally understand the choice of voting for hers, aside from any sucking up that may or may not be happening (which I doubt, btw).

For the record though, I voted for Sasaki, cause I thought that pic was really badass.

Better evidence of any "sucking up" would be from the previous Jam. I like Scrum's work in general, but that particular one was obviously a joke entry. In fact, don't take my word for it. Here it is straight from the artist herself. The fact that it was able to acquire 3 votes, even though Rainie's masterpiece exists, is strange to me.

But whatever. I am over analyzing, and this is a contest that does not really have a prize other than e-rep and self esteem. Thus, I propose that we all shut up and just vote for whatever we want as usual. Even if it was for the purposes of sucking up, it's still their vote, and they are allowed to vote as they wish, even if you don't like their reason.

My anger was based on this statement, to be precise:
Urjuan said:

I mean, what the deuce, that's imaginative, alright, but there's no frickin skill involved in that.
That kind of voting makes sense when all the entries are equally stupid and that clearly isn't the case here. While I voted for Sasaki because that sketch is just totally awesome, I'm compelled to state that Talon's fits the theme the best, if that's what the people here are getting at. It does not only focus on the theme, but is also beautifully drawn.

Alright, seriously? I LIKED IT, end of story. Does it really shock and surprise you that I might find it good? It's so bloody tiring to have people tell me what constitutes as skillful or not. And, I was just being playful with the statement you quoted. This contest is meant to be fun, so don't take it too seriously.

Yes, yet that is clearly YOUR opinion. Sorry we're too stupid to view things through your lens.

Also, I haven't explicitly stated that my vote went to Scrum.

EDIT: Ok guys, enough with this. Art is art. If people have shitty taste (yea, alright, even me :P), let it go.

K, back to the works.

I think everyone's submitted piece is interesting because although given the same topic matter, we all imagined something different which we presented in our art.

There will always be some kind of fandom here, that's pretty normal. And to get this far for a beginner like me is already pretty good, I think. Besides, it's all about personal taste.
Thanks to Shaharazade, Scrum, LeiKai and all the others who voted for me.
Maybe I'll stand a better chance next time! :)
