So i found this information from a few sources and was unsure bout the legitimacy of this information.

This contains heavy spoilers so if you not caught up to the manga DO NOT READ!!

It was mentioned in the recent Jump Festa 2014 that Mashashi kishimoto had another interview and some things to say in regards to the ending of naruto and some of the things he planned from the beginning, i found it quite interesting to say the least.

First of all, he declared officially that the manga will indeed end in 2014.

He also mentioned that he has no idea how to defeat the current madara so this indicates that he him self is kind of at a stand still and that he would talk to his editors bout this information and they would collaborate together to find out how Madara should be taken down.

From a past interview it has always been decleared that he has the "ending" of naruto set in his mind, but to get their is going to prove challenging.

Get this? He also mentions that right from the begging of the manga, he knew that Sasuke was eventually going down the path of becoming hokage. This i almost found hard to believe due to the fact that they never once foreshadowed this sort of information at all in the story. Their was never a hint of him wanting to become hokage in the early adventures of naruto. But kishimoto proclaims that he him self knew all along that was what he originally had planned. Could this possibly be an indication of his "set ending" meaning Sasuke may become hokage instead of naruto? Who knows.

Their was also some speculatory information that i read where a few people stated that kishimoto said "Look out for the reveal of the true villain of the manga, coming soon" Could this possibly be Orochimaru, but then again we know he's a villian, so im kind of interested in this if its at all true. But then again its purely speculation for the most part, so im leaving it at that.

These are the sources i managed to find, but nothing really official.

Now i have been a huge follower of this guys reviews for a long time, but i think maybe his video review might of sparked some sort of controversy and people discussing this info.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8M3gZv5j_8

Can any one clarify at all, if the legitimacy of this information and if its true or not to some agree. most of the people that i saw in various forums discussing it, seemed pretty confident that it was true.

I don't know where forneverworld got this info, because he does not link anything, but ive never known him to straight out lie to the fanbase.

But i have yet to find any official proof of this information and where it may of leaked from.

This is highly interesting.

Assuming that these speculations are true and confirmed:

1. The anime ending in 2014:

I think anymore time and the manga would be excessively dragging. The manga could have been over in 2013, if not for some of the unnecessary plot twist. However, I love Naruto and have been a fan since 2006, and I would love nothing more than to have a grandiose ending to finish off what is to me a great piece of work.

2. Madara's defeat unknown:

This is a bit of a letdown. Any angle that you take this statement is disappointing because it means the end of Madara will be a rushed one, or an event with many plot holes and inconsistencies ( not that the manga doesn't have any).

I understand the dilemma, Madara is a monster, a killer, a powerful warrior...but if you don't have a way to kill him off, it's almost better, as an author, to keep that to yourself. Now, I'm going to look at the ending, and know that this is something that was made up really quickly, under pressure, and won't be at the highest creative quality.

For him to say that he will talk to editors to help him out if fine, as long as the final product is original to him.

3. Sasuke set to want to be Hokage from beginning of manga:

Can someone check the BS meter please?

There's no way that he had that thought in his mind when he started the first volume. I don't see a reason why he would lie about that, if only to cover his tracks but everything in Naruto has been pretty consistent from the get go. One may even argue that the manga was too consistent and predictable, I mean it took us the first chapter to know that fourth hokage was Naruto's dad...and he didn't reveal that until years later. Most of us speculated that Obito was tobi way before the reveal was made. The point is that the Naruto Manga template was made in a way that was easy for us to predict a lot of the themes and events going on ( this is not necessarily bad) but Sasuke wanting to become Hokage is sooooooo left field.

It wasn't foreshadowed but rather the opposite. Sasuke wanted nothing but revenge, and even turned his back on the village. He never showed any kind of loyalty for the village.

Unless there's a chapter that I've missed and never read, I call BS on this statement.

4. Real Villain?:

Was he not maybe speaking of Madara as the true villain instead of Obito? I think it's too late in the game for another villain to come, and even if another villain came, anything short of the Sage of the six path would be downgrade.

Good job digging around for this info, if nothing else, it makes for very interesting talks and thoughts.

I could believe that Kishimoto is so clueless about his own work. Just look at the things he had done in the past.

If this all is actually true it would seem as if kishi has wrote himself into a corner hahahaha wow that's really sad for a so called pro mangaka.

Sasuke becoming hokage really fucks with the entire story so far also.
No logic, I honestly just don't believe kishi knows what his doing anymore.

Don't take this as Concrete information but yeah i agree. If this was sincerely true, then that means kishimoto has not planned this out well which could spell disaster for the further developing of the story. maybes its the recent introduction of all the new characters that has him stumped. One of the most significant villains in the storyline, and not knowing how to defeat his own creation, thats just very poor writing and planning on his part. But it would make sense, considering obito's defeat is rather not very well planned either.

It was also stated before that he had to take a few breaks from the manga to discuss the future events with his editors, that being "the defeat of obito".

Personally that is really what this manga needs in order to redeem it self, ive said this countless times. But their needs to be some kind of tie in with all the main characters, sasuke, orichimaru, naruto, sakura and the conflicts they have faced throughout the show. These things need to be intertwined eventually instead of being on apposite sides of the spectrum like kishimoto noted. kishimoto has not been able to focus on that very well because of obito and madara and the 4th war.

If this is true Madara must be really strong to the point that his creator can't kill him! But it should be a rumour I don't think kishi would just say that! A pro mangaka like kishi telling us that seems doubtfull.

Not exactly "confirmed", but it looks like Saiyan island caught up to the speculation and rumors going around the net about what people were saying in regards to naruto ending and him not knowing how to defeat, madara, sasuke planning to be hokage, etc.

It is still not exactly entire concrete info, since it looks to me like saiyan island is coming up with their theory and speculation on the whole incident based on the information they them selfs gathered but they did confirm that masashi kishimoto was indeed at the panel at jump festa 2014. Its just a matter of knowing exactly what he was taking bout during that time.

I would indeed be extremely irritated if this was in fact true, a pro mangaka would never admit to not having any plans set in motion for his characters or manga. That kind of sounds like some damn fanboy irritated with the recent progression of the manga, trying to spread some sort of lies.

I hope Kishimoto gets wind of this so he can clear things up, cause at this point, its spreaded throughout the internet now and became a topic of much controversy and debate.

Well good to see that the rumours were false.
A lot of anime reviewers "view whores" on Youtube were like: Naruto ending 2014 confirmed at Jump Festa"

This is kind of where i think it stemmed from, but im not entirely sure.

Another Reviewer that misleads people with all this information. I created a comment to, i mean shit if your going to discuss things bout this, don't DECLARE IT OFFICIAL!! With no sources of info? I mean come on, it doesn't take brains to figure that person has no idea, and is just using the video for publicity like everyone else.

I really hope the 'Sasuke being Hokage' thing is just speculation. He isn't the greatest writer but this would be on a whole new level of insulting. I mean, this is the same guy that foreshadowed the whole tailed beast/Obito mess we have right now in literally the first chapter. He wouldn't slip up this bad... right?

When was this speculated to be said? If Naruto is coming close to it's end, bringing out another villain after Obito would be highly unlikely.

By now I honestly don't care how they are going to resolve the fight. It's been dragging out for waaay too long, a beating and then talking him into submission sounds fine to me at this point.

About the manga ending in 2014, I already knew that, it had been mentionned earlier. Now, like the writer of the article at Saiyan Island, I think that the manga could drag until the beginning of 2015 (time for Kishi to finish the war arc + the battle Naruto VS Sasuke as he promised + one or two chapter to settle everything else).

It's a little shocking to read that he doesn't know how to take care of Madara's case (but it explains why the manga is so empty of content lately, he's trying to gain time to think of a good ending for Madara).
I don't like ForneverWorld's reviews, this guy lacks objectivity and has already spread tons of misinformation, I wouldn't trust what he says if he were the last NARUTO reviewer on Earth BUT for once, I agree with him : for a foe as important as Madara, Kishimoto should have planned how he's going to be defeated A LONG TIME AGO, especially since he keeps on powering him up. Now, he's in deep shit, 'cause unless he comes up with a random new power for Naruto/Sasuke like Kubo does for Ichigo every once in a while OR finds a smart but simple strategy to beat Madara (Shikamaru ? please ?), he's gonna mess this up. There's no way you can come up with a good ending to such a big battle very quickly, just by discussing with the editors. So I hope he at least have some ideas.

About the Sasuke thing, that Kishi wanted to make him a candidate for the Hokage seat since the beginning of the manga... Am I the only one who thinks that yes, it has been foreshadowed ?
Not by Sasuke himself. But I can't be the only one who remembers the battle in the Valley of the End, right ? For me, it was pretty obvious that Sasuke was the younger version of Madara and Naruto was the younger version of Hashirama. And (but I could be wrong on this, my memory is hazy), but it had been hinted that Madara and Hashirama had fought for the Hokage seat. So yeah, I saw the Sasuke thing coming a long time ago, but I was surprised like everyone else when he announced it, because I had completely forgotten about it.
Plus, I think that Sasuke defeating Danzo (the "Hokage" at the time) was a good hint too -> Sasuke does not agree with Danzo's methods -> gets rid of him -> to impose HIS methods of ruling Konoha (good or not, we don't know that yet).
So I'm surprised to see so many people surprised at this ^^ !
Now, I don't think he actually plans for Sasuke to become Hokage (or that would be the beginning of "bi-presidential" power in Konoha).

Don't worry, it's coming, if Kishimoto keeps his promise that is. I don't know if it'll be a whole arc, but it's supposed to be the last battle of the manga.

EDIT : Just found this on a facebook group. Relevance level : 100%.

I don't see why it won't end in 2014 though, since a year and a half ago, he said there's only be over a year and a half left of story to og. That implies a 2014 ending.Oh, and not to mention there's really not much left to put really.

Well as he mentioned in his last interview, he was going to focus on the 10 tails, madara and sasuke. Well he just barely started with madara, their was a few segments in between where he wasted the other 5 hokage but most of the time he has acted as a spectator, the majority of the battle has been mainly focused on the 10 tails and obito.

So he still has to finish up with madara which could take a long ass time if it drags out like obito's fight and then later what ever the hell he has planned for sasuke which im betting will tie into what orichimaru's motives are at some point would be his last major events in the manga. Probably a final clash between naruto and sasuke, the two strongest shinobi to exceed their ancestors. Some where down the line they are going to probably both get some massive power up. (forgot about sakura, who is she again? lol) jokes aside

Then lastly, their will be some sort of epilogue in it self with a complete closure.

So its hard to say if it will actually end in 2014, i mean its highly plausible, thats like 52 chapters if no breaks which can amount to alot of material if not dragged out. Either way this next year is probably going to be the most intensive we'v ever seen the manga thus far.

But it looks to me like this 4th world war might really be it, im not drawing conclusions or not, but i was hoping for another whole solid story arc that takes place after the world war but that might not happen, will just have to wait and see i guess. Starting this year naruto IS going to go through some dramatic change though since his kyubii was just stolen from him, I imagine this is where we might see a dramatic shift in naruto's power, hence the "main" character, he might finally show his worth in the manga and shock the world to its core.
