To me, all good things must come to an end. Sure, if I really like a show, I sometimes feel a bit sad that it's over. However, it just means I can move on to another show and it's all good.

I've been getting the after-ending depression less these days. But I used to get it more often when I was first exposed to anime, and my sister too; and it's mostly for the good series. I'm pretty sure it's because I feel like the characters are almost like friends I met and made, and by ending the series it's saying good-bye forever. No more time to see [insert character's name], never again see [insert character 2's name here] antics again. I'm guessing that's how a lot of the other people here feel, too.

. . . Though others are just talking about disappointment -_-; lol

It was released a while ago. It's not hard to find online though. You can find it by simply googling it.

http://www.letmegooglethatforyou.com/?q=bleach+42

It's the url that says veoh on it. Pretty darn easy to find Bleach if you look for it.

Yeah, when an anime you really like ends, that's the worst part. Then you have to find something else to fall in love with, which is exceptionally hard if the anime that you were watching was super unique.

Do any of you get that feeling of depression when you finish an anime that you really liked?
After finishing D gray man up to episode 103 i can't shake off that sad feeling.
It is such an amazing emotional anime and since there seems like no hope of another season it makes it even more depressing

Atleast the manga is still ongoing so its not so sad but if the manga ever does end... I'll probably get even more depressed then when Code Geass ended

My favorite moment of this anime is probabl this one by the way

Shouldn't really use the term depression in reference to "baww a series is over". Sadness? Sure. Melancholic? Okay. Malaise even? That's fine too. But saying a show ending made you depressed is just cheapening the term in an undue way.
/mini-rant over

Anyway, sometimes I'm sad when a series ends. But then I realize what the quality of most shows that never end is like, and then it's more like I'm thankful that was long enough for me to get invested, but not so long that it turned into a pile of crap.

I love how you made this thread just a little while after I finished my New Year's Eve marathon of Ga-Rei Zero. I haven't dreaded an anime ending in a while so this one's hitting me a little hard, not just because it's over, but... well, I won't spoil, but it's a little hard to swallow this one.

Yeah... I was crying at the end of that! So sad!

After Elfen Lied and Clannad. After Clannad I was a wreck for about week... Unable to think about anything else, over and over seeing and hearing those scenes... That´s why I am afraid of watching my second run to the end.

Depends on the anime itself whether I feel good or bad. Bittersweet endgings where, for example, a close-knit group for friends go their separate ways after finishing high school or whateva, that feeling of leaving behind the safety of childhood and moving towards the vast, uncertain future always gets to me. Endings like that in Berserk leave me feel rather neutral, while with Kemonozume's ending I was just plain satisfied, positively.

So yeah, depends on the anime.

I get disappointed when something great ends, yes, but if the ending satisfies me then I move on. Sometimes the endings are just so ridiculous that I rage for a few hours. xD Not literally, but still.

But, I have to say, it's annoying when an anime just NEVER ends though. Like I loved KHR with all my heart, but when it didn't end with the Future arc I was just like wow.

and now FMA popped into my head, i realy was kinda lost after that (long time ago when bleach was still at the beginning of the "bount" arc) so i was looking for new anime to watch but didn't realy find anything till i found angel beats! and MAL ^^ now my life has meaning again :D

Depends on your definition of depressed.

After Kashimashi, ~Girl Meets Girl~, I was depressed because one of the characters had to face something really tough and I felt sorry for her.

After Chaos;Head, I was depressed because I had wasted a large amount of my valuable time.

I think we all have gone through this..

We get depressed seeing an anime/manga ending.. wishing for more... but there wont be.....V___V

But, even though you can go through that depression, eventually, you will find another anime to watch, and move on...

I almost always have that feeling after I finish a series. The worst one I've felt, though, was after finishing all 508 episodes of the Dragonball saga. I got extremely attached to the characters and it was just upsetting. :P

Nope, I usually think long and deep thoughts on whether I liked the series, and if I did, I'll look for similar shows.
